BHOOTER RAJA DILO BOR KALYANI — Restaurant in West Bengal

Very nice full AC theme restaurant near Kalyani Central Park. It is a restaurant chain and thus food quality is very good. It provides authentic Bengali cuisine 😋

Table booking: ✅ Currently they provide entry on first come first serve basis. On weekends there is a long queue before entering the restaurant.

Ambience:✨🌟✨ ✅ Ambience and decoration is excellent and enjoyable for children.

Quality: 🏅 ✅ Food quality is very good. They provide authentic and fresh fish and other items. All the items I tried there were cooked with authentic Bengali care. The good thing is, food is comparatively less spicy.

Menu variety:🥗🍲🍛🥘 ✅ There is a wide range of Bengali authentic items served here. There is also various Bengali thalis which is very attractive ( such as Gupir Thali, Bhaghar thali etc). However it takes a unreasonable long time to serve thalis. One thali is not sufficient for a healthy adult and the quantity of the items are also not sufficient.

Price:📃 ❎ As per my opinion, price of the items are little higher than the reasonable price in other restaurants at Kalyani. I suggest to opt for thalis instead of ordering individual items.

Hospitality: ❎ This restaurant need to review thier hospitality section. The person who took my order, was not polite enough and discouraged us not to order thalis rather insisted to order separate items to avoid delay. I went there exclusively to try their thalis and that's why I sticked to get Thalis 😀😀😀.

Final tip:🎯 Avoid weekends because on weekends there is a long queue before entering the restaurant moreover they take further long time to serve the food...

Had gone to my in laws house in Kalyani and took them for dinner to this Resturant.

We ordered steam rice, kochupata diye chingri, rajbari kosha mangsho, macher math diye daal, rui kalia, betki paturi, Jhuri Bhaja, tandoori roti and rui kalia. Aam panna, payesh and masala cold drink.

What shocked us that apart from betki paturi and rui kalia, every thing they served was cold...I repeat "COLD". Tandoori was literally a CHEWING GUM.

I wonder while bringing the food from the kitchen, did they even bother to check whether the food they are serving is hot or not. GOD ALONE KNOWS.

Anyways, after informing the table attendants, they took away the food, and brought it back, this time slightly warm/lukewarm.

When I informed one of the guy taking the orders that I will review it on the google he just nodded his head without even showing any signs of being apologetic. Even his attitude was COLD.

Next, we ordered masala cold drinks....the thums up or pepsi whatever they brought didn't have any fizz in it.

Lastly, when we called for the bill, the next guy informed us that, he has made the drinks complimentary, I guess, this was how they wanted to make up for the disastrous experience we had dining in this restaurant.

I am from Jadavpur where BRD' food quality and service is very good and we have good experience dining in there. But this Kalyani branch of BRD is spoiling the reputation which BRD other branches have earned.

BRD Kalyani - take this feedback seriously or else...

I want to give a detailed review on my experience, so you don’t make the same mistake which i did. I went for dinner on 15th April, it was crowded but not that crowded like durga puja. I took baghar thali. Along with that separately we took ilish mach, pomphert jhal and dab chingri.

Food reveiw: Sukto- i loved the sukto , it was best. 2.chingri malai curry- chingri malai curry was also very tasty , gravy was tasty. Chicken- chiken was not soo good, all the pcs were solid pcs that too very hard, I really didn’t liked it Kheer- i was really tasty, but served in very small bowl which was hardly 2 spoon. Seems like they had shortage of food. Ilish mach- taste was very bad, no masal taste in fish,Gravy was watery . Dab chingri- they served dap chingri on a plate and when we complained regarding the same then they gave in dab that too taste was not at all uptoo the mark. 7.pomfret jhal- it was really tasty, i loved it.

Service: Service was very poor, i waited for 1 hour for the food to served after giving order, one person seemed like supervisor was very rude, after saying soo many times food was served but waiting for soo long was actually a waste because food they were serving half of the things they didn’t knew what is included in the thali, we have to see the menu and remind them the items they were forgetting.

My suggestion: If you want to still goo there order in ala-carte menu rather...
