Cafe Calcutta — Restaurant in West Bengal

Decided to go to this place after a lot of positive reviews on social media. The place gave vibes of Mitra cafe of Sovabazar. The ambience was good. The owners were friendly. We ordered their chicken pizza, cold coffee and cold coffee with vanilla ice cream. The cold coffee didn't take much time but we were instantly disappointed after finding out that the coffee wasn't cold. How ironic. We then waited for an eternity for our pizza and when it arrived we were underwhelmed. It looked like an attempt of making a decent pizza. There was nothing so special about the flavours as well. The pizza was not good, not bad just average. However the real horror show was kept for the last. When I finished my cold coffee which was served in a mason jar, I found an insect most probably a small cricket. This was my first time finding an insect in my food. I don't know if my stars were bad or the luck of the cafe was on a vacation but I would never ever go visit that cafe again. The owners were very kind though. It seemed like they were trying their best to please their customers. Unfortunately that didn't translate to their food. My best wishes...
