Dawat is a restaurant that specializes in chicken biryani, a dish of rice and meat cooked with spices. I visited Dawat with my family and we ordered two plates of chicken biryani, one plate of chicken reshmi kabab. The restaurant was crowded and we had to wait for about 20 minutes to get a table. The service was courteous and attentive, but a bit slow.
The chicken biryani was the highlight of our meal. The rice was fluffy and fragrant, and the chicken pieces were tender and juicy. The biryani had a balanced blend of spices and herbs, and was not too oily or dry. It did not come with a side of raita. We enjoyed the biryani very much.
The kabab, however, was disappointing. It was made of minced meat mixed with spices. The kabab lacked the texture and flavor of a good kabab.
Overall, we had a satisfying meal at Dawat, except for the kabab. The restaurant is a good place to go for chicken biryani lovers, but not for kabab fans. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The ambience is cozy and casual, but can get noisy when it is busy. I would recommend Dawat to anyone who wants to try authentic chicken biryani...
Read moreIt wasn't about food. It was about the manners I received . The waiter who was serving and cleaning tables suddenly told me 'ma'am go there'. I was a bit confused. I was combing my hair while talking with my friends. No food was served at the time neither we ordered anything till then. He could easily talk with politeness, that please if you need to comb please go near the mirror. But he was talking very rudely like he was ordering me. It's my bad for not knowing where to comb. It was just a normal thing i was doing. I respect their rules and regulations. But he should talk to me politely. . I don't think it will be possible for me to go to the restaurant further.
And one thing, when we asked what food is the best he was like, not recommending anything and with a great mockery he told us everything is great. If u have that much rudeness in you. Don't do...
Read moreI have mixed feelings about my recent visit to Dawat Restaurant. On the positive side, the ambience is lovely and the staff are courteous and attentive. They promptly addressed our concern about the Crispy Chili Baby Corn, which seemed to be a leftover from the previous day, and replaced it with a fresh dish.
However, there were a few drawbacks that prevented me from fully enjoying my experience. The music was too loud and not to my taste, which made it difficult to converse with my companions. Moreover, the Biriyani was a letdown - it was dry and lacked flavor.
While Dawat Restaurant has its strengths, there's room for improvement. I would recommend it for its ambience and service, but not for its Biriyani. Perhaps the kitchen can revisit their recipe to make it more flavorful and...
