Short Review: Overpriced and poor quality. Cashing on its previous reputation.

This shop is a landmark shop in the locality. Deals majorly in bakery items and confectioneries. I have been visiting this shop now from last 7 years at regular interval. However due non-availability of a similar competitive shop nearby and owner only emphasizing on cosmetic upgradation of the shop, the quality of the product has shown steady decline. Once last year i tried to tell the owner politely the same but i was greeted with an arrogant smirk. Nevertheless i went today for a cake. Cake was hard and stale however it was told to me as having been made the same day. Bread was chewey and hard too. Overall i would recommend to go for an alternate shop unless you don't...

Extremely disappointed with what once a well known brand like "Dipti's" has now turned out to be. The owner urged us to try out some special combo paratha meal costing 230 - The parathas were so poorly cooked and tasted pathetic - paneer sabji was stale as well. And whats more - the owner didn't have the courtesy to accept their mistake. The place is a welcome break from the glum of the surroundings. As i was interacting with the native people i realised that this place has quite a history and the shop has been around for about half a century now. The renovated look is to keep pace with changing times. The place has had lots of variety in terms of cakes, donuts,muffins,breads and other off the shelf processed items. I just wish the staff would be more prompt and little attentive to the needs of the customer. I guess this is where business owners need to take a leaf out of the Marwari...
