Pros: Located very close to Bagdogra airport - practically at the end of the road. So if you couldn't by sweets to take home from any other place, this gives you an opportunity even in the last minute. Their packing's too good. Not a drop leaked into our checking baggage despite no special care from our side and there even being a transfer. A good variety of sweets. Service is good considering the crowd that they have to manage. Prices are reasonable
Cons: The rasagullas aren't as soft as I have had in even some nondescript sweetshop in remote areas. They would still be better than the rasagullas available in your hometown outside WB. It's just that rasagullas are just "warm soft disappear in your mouth" type sweets in most sweet shops of WB. The ones from this place would reuire a bite or two. The same goes for other sweets as well. They aren't soft- be it kheer kadam or kheer singhada. The kheer singhada has a good smell but could be an effort in the mouth.
It's too crowded. So if you are rushing for the airport your purchase here could be a jittery experience.
3 only cash

This is competent personal. Didn't get Shor bhaja. It's a sweet I really like but they...
Read moreI fully agree with earlier reviews. Unfortunately the shopkeeper has NOT improved even after so many reviews which are almost year old. The place is filthy and cooking is unhygienic. In today's world of technology he doesn't want to accept online transactions. And if you have already taken the stuff then he charges you extra if you want to make online transactions. Now the reason for this is best known to the shopkeeper but to me it appears that he is evading taxes by asking only for CASH transactions. Government officials should take a note of this and should take action against this guy. Not worth visiting or buying anything. I wish I should have read the reviews before visiting this place. Would have saved my time and effort, as I didn't buy anything from him since he...
