KOHINOOR Hotel and Restaurant Benachity (A Legend since 1956) — Restaurant in West Bengal

Hotel Kohinoor, is one of the oldest Mughlai restaurant in Durgapur serving authentic Mughlai cuisine. Though this place is knowing for its mouthwatering Biriyani but other Mughlai dishes like Tandoor Roti, Butter Nun, Tarka, Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, Rezala, Rolls and Kebabs are equally sought-after by the food lovers of Durgapur. The Benachity Branch provides with both in-house dining and take-away facility. They have also delivery partnarship with Zomato and Swiggy. This place serves food till 11 PM and the chefs and staffs of Kohinoor are always on their toes to cater to your demands. Regarding the pocket pinch, one plate of Chicken Biriyani is priced 120/- only, which is I believe is quite affordable. The best part regarding Hotel Kohinoor is that, they also serve you with Half Plates. Do give a visit to this place with your family and friends or you can also order at your place.

Kohinoor, Benachiti, Durgapur – Poor Experience Despite Decent Food Taste

Had a very disappointing experience at Kohinoor recently. While the taste of the food (especially the Chicken Bharta) was good, the overall service and environment were seriously lacking. Here’s why:

No washroom for men – highly inconvenient and unacceptable for a restaurant.

No free mineral water – only normal tap water is served.

The tap water appears to be sourced from the hand wash basin and was visibly dirty – extremely unhygienic.

Unpleasant environment – the place felt poorly maintained and uncomfortable.

When we requested to pack the leftover Chicken Bharta, they handed us a plastic bag and asked us to pack it ourselves – very unprofessional and unhospitable.

Despite the good taste of the food, the lack of basic hygiene, facilities, and proper service makes it a place I would not recommend. Durgapur has far better options where both food and service are...

This place is quite a crowded one with basic Indian and so called Chinese dishes and it is located at the most crowded market place of durgapur, benachity.I was here for a dinner once.I saw a long queue of zomato delivery men waiting at the counter for their parcels to be received.That means the number of takeaway orders that Kohinoor is receiving must be good.What I felt after reaching the place is that, if you are in for a quiet dinner with your near ones at an ambient diner,this place is not for you.This place might be good for a quick bite at moments of need.If you want to go out for a planned dinner don't opt for kohinoor.The menu offers only basic things (as I have already mentioned) at a price that's not at all basic.You might check it out once or twice but if you take my opinion, go for the takeaway parcels and don't grab a spot there...
