Mitra Cafe — Restaurant in West Bengal

We are quite impressed with this place. We have ordered fish Kabiraji, mutton cutlet and prawn cutlet and mutton Biriyani. I will share their review one by one.

Fish Kabiraji- It was the best among all the 3 starters which we took. The taste was simply wow. It was made with pure bhetki fish and it was so well marinated that whenever we were talking a bite the fish was just melting in our mouth. I will highly recommend this item of Mitra cafe.

Mutton Cutlet- Though the taste was good enough but the portion of mutton mince was very less. You can give it a try.

Prawn Cutlet- This one was also very mouthwatering and again I would definitely like to mention that the taste was super because of the superb marination of the prawn. This item is also highly recommended.

Mutton Biriyani- The only reason I'm rating this place 4/5 because of these Biriyani, otherwise I would have rated this cafe 5/5. The quality and quantity of rice was good. The rice was not so oily neither it was oversmelling, also it was not over moist. But, the mutton pieces were very small and it was not so soft, even the potato was not well cooked.

Now coming into the budget part. Along with this 4 items(1 fish Kabiraji, 1mutton cutlet, 1prawn cutlet and 1special mutton Biriyani) we have took one mineral water and one masala thumps up and they charged us 914 bucks. We were 2 and the quantity of food was more than enough for us.

Last but not the least- the staffs were well behaved and the service was also good. Also they are maintaining fair amount of safety measures...

Online food delivery experience with Mitra cafe was nothing but disappointment.My parents are ardent fan of mitra cafe so whenever we have a family get together we visit Mitra cafe.Similarly i asked my friend to send me food from this restaurant because he was sending us a treat. I asked him to schedule it for later in “Zomato” so that the restaurant can prepare it well and the items can go out of stock later. To my utter shock, none of the the food items were well prepared. The fish in the fries were not fresh at all,the noodles lacked taste and sauces.The chicken manchurian was just worst.NO TASTE AT ALL and full of coriander. We were so disappointed with their food.

When I asked him to connect with the restaurant,the staff just was trying to cover up their faults like anything. They were saying the food was prepared at the time when it was ordered that is why the fish was not fresh maybe.What is the logic over here? And how the foods were hot when they reached if they were made 3 Hours before? They said that if the foods were ordered directly from them or if we would have visited them then such things would not have happened.Then Why did they tie up with online delivery platforms? Why are we paying extra money?Definitely for their profits.So if we directly order from them or have the food in the restaurant then we will have a delectable experience otherwise they are just going waste everyone’s money.Their business and their profit is growing with our money but ignore the most crucial part that is customer...
