RAJ RESTAURANT — Restaurant in West Bengal

Being a resident of Madhyamgram, I have many fond memories of this place, specially in my childhood days. As this is one of the oldest restaurants in this area, my earliest memory of dining out is at this very place. After I developed the craving to try out new dishes, every month I used to drag my parents to this place and have dinner over here. This continued for long, as long as I remember :)

Coming to their food, the quality is pretty decent, specially Chinese. Over the years, I have tasted a variety of items from here and don't even remember most of them anymore. Nevertheless, I can name some. I liked their mixed/chicken fried rice and schezwan chicken, soups, and other Chinese preparations. I tried chicken bharta once and loved it. I don't like their biryani though.

To sum up, this restaurant has been maintaining their food quality for years. When it comes to having good quality food in Madhyamgram, one can surely depend on this restaurant. I don't think there are many residents of Madhyamgram who haven't visited this restaurant yet. The restaurant's credibility is...

The food is decent. I ordered "Thai Chicken with Sweet Chilli Sauce" which was liked by my mother, but for me it was too sweet and there was too much lemon. The quality of chicken was good. The restaurant serves only takeaway food at present (29-08-2020) due to the pandemic situation. The entrance is closed for customers, and people have to order at the entry door and wait outside. Wait time is around 15 minutes which is reasonable. There is facility for home delivery also, and orders can be placed over telephone. The waiting area outside the entrance should have been paved, cleaner, and aesthetically designed better; parking of vehicles irresponsibly by customers often blocks the way. I ordered from them online through Justdial. Their price rates were not updated and it cost me 200 extra. Despite that the food was not that great but it was good. No complaints but they should focus on quantity rather than quality. Everything tasted the same. As if the same gravy has been copy pasted on all recipes. They are located close to the railway station so that's a plus point.
