Ambience - Decored with chandeliers and dimed lights with songs of 90s playing in the background is what you need to release your stress. This is the perfect place to chill with your friends in the evening and have good food and gossip. Every decorations of this cafe has its meaning. One of the wall consists of the frames of all the famous personalities starting from Cricket industry to bollywood,once again reminding us that Engineers can do anything.

Adding to the list of new growing cafes in North Kolkata, is 'The Pseudo Engineers'. Located at about five minute walking distance from Belgharia station, this place is all about fun and good food. The theme here focuses on engineers who have taken up and excelled at various fields of life, be it acting, comedy or cooking. The decor is simple yet cozy and the best part is their open mic with live music where you can perform yourself as well.

From their menu I would RECOMMEND:

• Fish n Chips- The fish was melt-in-the-mouth soft while the fried panko coating was crispy. It was served with a side of spicy fries and tartar sauce. At a price of 180/- for two big fillets, this is an absolute steal deal!

• Oreo Jar Shake- It costs just 100/- and comes in one of the large jars. The shake was creamy and not too sweet. A must try.

Apart from these you can also try their BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Mixed Sauce Pasta, and Chicken wings.

We ordered Chicken Club sandwich, Chicken Barbeque sandwich and Virgin Mojito. The Club sandwich is a two layer sandwich, the upper layer is chicken which is little bit spicy, chicken tossed with onions. The second layer is an omlete and cheese layer. The combination is better than it seems, spicy and sweet. The sandwich is a bit too big for one person as a snack, two person can easily have it with a good appetite. The Barbeque sandwich tasted better between the two. The chicken has a smokey taste, although it has one layer, but enough chicken is stuffed which is surprising for the price point. This sandwich is more on the sweat and tangy side. Both the sandwich comes with enough French fries. French fries are almost same everywhere but let me tell you, you will like it here. They remain crunchy even if you order a delivery. They also add a type of spice which gives it some advantages.
