As a food critique, I usually don't review any other restaurants it must have some speciality, and if the place has a class, then I shall definitely review it.
Ambience: the first thing which comes to my mind every time I reflect upon my experience in the riverside, is certainly the ambience, it is something that is inexplicable one should experience it, people inside this restaurant have a great taste of food and culture and art indeed. The crowd is educated and sophisticated, therefore the time is worth spending here.
Place: the place is very interesting, it's a small straight patch of land at the Western bank of river Ganges, a small gate beside a historic temple in Chinsurah. It is situated in between vande Mataram bhavan and mayurpankhi Ghat. Once entering inside the premises it shocks indeed. There is a place to sit outside in nature and then there is a sitting arrangement inside the air condition premises. Both have their own unique independent sense of beauty. In the afternoon and in the evening the ambiance and why completely transforms, and at night it's a piece of heaven.
Food: Firstly the quality of the food which is served as the river side is undoubtedly the tastiest amongst any classy restaurant in the Town, the level of the cookery that prepares the delicacy is certainly to a height that is hard to match up by any of their competitors. The menu itself shows the taste of the restaurant and its customers, it's not one of those dhaba turned air condition restaurants why this serves biryani which fork and knife, this is an unadulterated fine dine restaurant with an Indian essence.
Thoughts: the riverside is the most perfect place for a date, therefore it can be a heaven for couples with a class. Those who are looking for a restaurant to spend some quality time with their family, this is the best option for them. Couples who are intended to spend time in the nature which someone beverages along with their loved ones while this is again the place for them. This is so far the best restaurant in...
Read moreToday I went to this place, it looked quite nice after entering at first, it was raining on the banks of the beautiful Ganges, so today was the first time I went to enjoy the beauty of this place in such beautiful weather. I went and ordered a cup of coffee first, and while I was drinking it, I told the person who was serving me that "I'll order some starters later, that won't be a problem," so in response, he said as usual, "No, no problem." Then I looked at the menu card and ordered a mixed plate of Hakka noodles, Now let's talk about their service, very disgusting service. They don't even remember to ask the customer if there is any water on the plate. Then came the noodles, after taking a bite I thought the shrimps were raw, so... So I thought to myself, maybe it's just my nature to be a preacher, maybe I feel this way. Then, within a few bites, a strange, rotten smell came to my nose. This time, it was not just me, but my friend's too. This time, the meat, means chicken, used in those noodles was rotten. Then I realized that they had used rotten meat in the food. When we called them as usual, the brother who was serving took the food and then came back to apologize.Have some respect for your work, stop cheating like this. Please take action in...
Read more1)The food quality was good but not worth the price. Looking at price you will say, "wow, expensive, must be good" but when you taste the food, you will feel, " good but no wow factor, and not worth the price". 2) The atmosphere there is aesthetic, I will admit that. 3)They don't serve water, you have to pay for a bottle of water, for many it may be normal but to the restaurants I have been they have always provided water, because it is a basic etiquette to provide water to the customers. 4) The problem that I had, in the menu Mutton Chaap was written Rs.399, and I even asked the waitress serving us whether 399 was for 4pcs or 2pcs ,she said it was for 2pcs ;but I was charged Rs 470 for Mutton Chaap, when I asked the waitress that she told me that it was Rs 399 in the menu, she straight up declined, saying, 'Ma'am I would never say anything like that '. Thank God, the specific menu card which was on our table was present then I showed them that in the menu it was written 399 not 470 and then they called their manager, spoke over the phone, then said, 'Ma'am if you ever have any doubts, always straight up ask us ' and handed me the money that they had charged extra. If you're wondering, I went there on...
