Sangeetha Veg. Restaurant — Restaurant in Zone 8 Anna Nagar

So we went in this restaurant today for lunch. The ambience looked nice, but the price of each item was on higher side. On top of that, the taste was not upto the mark considering the prices.

We ordered Masala papad/ local papad: whichever was available. kadhai paneer: which was okayish. Butter naan: it was good. Daal fry: nowhere close to the daal fry. Steam rice: was good.

Now when we placed the order, we placed for all of them at one go as the manager who was taking order kept on asking. We in the first round ordered two naans as there were two of us. They delivered everything together and we started having lunch. We also placed order in next two minutes for one more naan.

The did not deliver it for next 10 minutes so we started having rice since we had to rush to the railway station as we were supposed to catch our train.

Almost when we were about to finish our rice, they said they forgot about the naan and hence they brought it then and we suggested to take it back but the manager refused stating it's already cooked and will be delivered to us. We did not argue and accepted it. So after having rice, my friend ate the naan.

While having lunch he came to our table and asked us to write a review or hand my phone over to him and he would do it, he insisted. I kept on saying, I'll do it once I'm done with lunch.

He kept standing looking at us having lunch for around 5 minutes and then left after offering pickle forcefully.

When asked for bill, he kept on asking if we want something else and later brought the bill.

I paid the bill without washing my hands as other waiter was also staring at us, I don't know why.

I washed my hands and as I told him I started writing review and I have all 5 stars in everything.

Then things got escalated. He snatched my phone and started looking at my profile if I had written a 1 star review in the past since he thought I had written one. When I confronted, he himself added 5⭐ in everything from my profile and when I snatched it back to submit, he snatched it back stating it's not submitted yet.

I had to confront him with anger this time stating this time if he does this again, I'll not write any review as he was not letting us go and we were getting late.

Once confronted with anger he then let us go and said thanks.

This was the scene that took place and we are not at all happy by the behaviour and demands by that manager.

PS: I was very calm till the moment, I also tipped them with Rs. 50 during the bill payment..

Service is poor : The first time we gave our order to a person but that person did not inform to kitchen . He just heard our order and simply standing

Poor food service : we ordered our food and waited for 40 mins . Literally we waited for an hour but food is not delivered

Lacking food : on other table there is a huge argument about mini tiffin . So they gave him a mini meals with replacing upma with lot of kesari and an old vada . He asked politly about it but the workers started To gaslight him that this is the original meals we provide and told in a loud voice that everyone could hear in the restaurant .

Poor atmosphere : the first time we enter there is lot of house fly and a strong smell of phenoil which made me to lose appeitate in food .

Food : Food was ok we ordered dosa , honey chilli potato . We found burnt potato and in the bottom of the plate we found a rotten tomato sticking at the plate . Disgusting

Also misbehaving workers and replacing orders of other customer and also accusing customers that they cannot change dishes which is a wrong dish that been served .

Also lot north indians in the shop working very lethargically . Workers dont know tamil and they spoke hindi and unhygenic activity of guys in front of customers .

Also you can hear kitchen guys shouting and throwing plates and screaming in hindi . We thought someone is fighting inside .

Conclusion : Not recomended for childrens and family spending time here and you can have filter coffee and leave there is better hotel than this

I'm a regular customer to this hotel till date. I never order food online as they pack hot food in plastic covers which causes chronic health problems.

Usually I have my breakfast here and always paid bill via card and so couldn't gave any tip to the head waiter (white shirt).

After 3 or 4 times he noticed me and since then, he willingly started serving in an uncleaned banana leaf (contains pesticides) and that too what ever I order, dosa, chapati, poori, oothapa etc everything was getting burnt(causes cancer). I have got these replaced couple of times, but always you can't hang on such petty things during busy office hours and moved on.

My friends from Choolaimedu experienced these well before and advised me not to go to this place, but i prefer quality of food even it is costly and I came here and experienced this.

Doing these cheap things this head waiter (white shirt) additionally started making fun with other co waiters.

I never wrote any review till date and this is my 1st. I always have a soft corner towards these waiters, but this kind of fool...
