The Breeze Terrace Restaurant in Handara Golf and Resort is a cozy, clean, sleek design space to slow down and immerse yourself in the view of rolling green of the golf course, the swaying trees, the eye pleasing flowers, and the majestic mountain.
Indoor and outdoor seats available. We picked the indoor one, close to the bar, a table for six for the five of us having long lunch together after attending a training event. Supportive atmosphere to extend our chats about sustainability in such a contrast place when nature meets modern design.
The Oxtail Soup and The Rujak Chicken we ordered with some rice came as mildly spicy. Pleasing for someone who likes a hint of chili in Indonesian food. The Peanut Crisps on the side is a pleasing addition to combine with the other flavors. The portion is more than adequate.
While it took awhile to bring our food orders, the staff was otherwise fastly responsive to our other requests: some more water (they kindly brought the whole jug to the table), and some take aways.
What I appreciated is the absence of single use plastic straws in their drink. One small yet significant step to their commitment to...
Read moreCome with zero expectations! Our food took 45 minutes to arrive, and arrived in dribs and drabs, with starving children served last… and arrived stone cold. They were very helpful to take it away and reheat but that just meant waiting even longer and children getting even more frustrated! Coffee options are old school - please update your menu to reflect what people drink in 2024. Flat white, piccolo, magic, more milk alternatives options too please.
And to top it all off, we went to the kids playground only to find it in a dismal state of disrepair, and the last remaining two bunny rabbits were dead in their pen, and the stench was horrendous, meaning they had been dead for a rather long time. And the toilets by the basketball courts haven’t seen a housekeeper or cleaning staff in weeks for sure - really disgusting, full of dead bugs, gecko droppings and cobwebs.
Of course, the setting is gorgeous but come on: the space needs a lot of TLC and...
Read moreWe were staying at the hotel and decided to have dinner here. What a mistake! We waited 15 minutes just for someone to take our order, waving at the waiters the whole time as if we were invisible. It honestly felt like they were deliberately ignoring us.
The food took about an hour to arrive, and to make things worse, the table next to us — who ordered after us — got their dishes much earlier.
As for the food: • The borscht was just okay, but I have no idea why they added cumin — it doesn’t belong there. Also, serving borscht with white bread? Big mistake. It should be black (rye) bread. • The tuna with “pasta” — it wasn’t pasta at all, just some random noodles. • The vareniki were fine. • The chicken breast with mashed potatoes — the mash was full of lumps, as if no one even tried to make it smooth.
Overall: we wasted our evening waiting, and the food just wasn’t worth it. We won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend...
