Cafe Tahu — Restaurant in Bali

The place for tofu lover. The foods were not too bad actually. There were great selection of menu with tofu as the star. Just be mindful as some of the foods involving sauce are quite spicy even when you ask for no chili.

The disappointment was from the service and toilet facility. All of the female staff were arrogant. We came with a group of 10 people and was only provided with 2 menu lists. When we asked for more menu lists to make it easier for us to make the selection, the staff gave pathetic excuse that the cafe's policy was to only give one menu list per table. It is ridiculous as there were 10 of us. At least give us 4 lists to make it easier to order.

Also, when we made additional order, we had to wait so long until they came with the addition. The excuse was similarly ridiculous by saying that they need to find the first bill to add the additional order.

Furthermore, when we asked about the toilet, the staff just pointed rudely the location of the toilet. To make things worse, the toilets were so dark and dirty. They were located accross the parking lot. As it was raining, we had to walk under the rain to go to the toilet.

The only saving grace of the cafe was the taste of the food. They were quite tasty. Otherwise, it would have been...

We often drove past this place and wondered whether it would be good or not 🤔 After all there are Soooo many food places between Bedugal and Denpasar..

Well today we dropped in.. And it wasn't a great experience..

1. we were informed that we had to pay for parking.. And the car park is under some Durian trees.. Very dangerous 😩
2. outside the dirty toilets there was a price list what!!! This is an eating place it's normal to provide a toilet for the customers in 2019 😩 3)first overall impressions of the place is that it's run down and dirty.. Not great 😩 The menu prices are expensive considering that most of the items on the list are tofu 😩 4)The waiting staff are nice and friendly and helpful 👍

5)There are some attractions.. A pond with some large koi fish but the pond area looks unloved and the pond is 1/2 empty and dirty 😩

Also a big No No in pretty much all of the modern world.. There is a poor monkey locked in a small cage.. The monkey looked frightened and uncared for 😩😩😩😩

This is one of my family's go-to cafes whenever we go to Bedugul. Most of their menu is tofu-based. We've tried various dishes, and they’re all tasty. If you don't like tofu, don’t worry.
