Little Spoon Café — Restaurant in Bali

This is the worst coffee shop I’ve been to in Bali. Way overpriced for the experience - really badly managed, staff are lovely but not trained. I’ve been there few times and EVERY time something goes wrong and I have to complain - either chicken missing from the take away chicken salad (realised when I was back home so extra annoying) or coffee spilling all over me on my way back because of the leaking lid. Moreover, I had to instruct the staff on how to make an americano in the first place… Bad experience every time, but coffee is more expensive that most coffee shops in the central Canggu area.

Edit in response to the owner: I appreciate that the coffee quality is good! It testes great, you’re right, but it’s not only about coffee itself, it’s about the whole experience. “Little Spoon” serves the best Nasi Goreng I’ve ever had! I’ve tried this classic Balinese dish in many places, but here, it truly stands out - always made with fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making every visit even more enjoyable.

Whenever my friends ask where to get the best Nasi Goreng, I always recommend “Little Spoon.” The café’s cozy atmosphere, tucked away in a quiet spot, adds to its charm, offering a sense of privacy away from the hustle and bustle.

Beautiful little Cafe, just off the main road to Tanah Lot. Open from 8am to 3:30. Great selection for breakfast and lunch with vegan and vegetarian options. I chose their Vegan Sandwich sourdough/sautéed spinach/mushroom/cucumber/fresh tomatoes/Japanese sesame ponzu/small salad. (Not because I am vegan, but because I always chose something with cucumber if I can, as he is the cook in the family and he hates cucumber). They also made me a good coffee.
