After my favorite ramen place closed in February, finally I found another good ramen place to eat again. The place is also good and is a branch of ramen in Yokohama. the first time I came I ordered creamy shio ramen and so delicious. The gyoza are also delicious. For the chili sauce you can take it yourself and when ordering I recommend that you choose, there have 6 different thicknesses of ramen from extra fine to extra thick, if you don't choose a medium size will be given. Apart from ramen, the restaurant also has karaage and don (a kind of rice topped with toppings) but for don I have never tried it because I like the ramen. Creamy Shio Ramen for 70K, vegan ceamy 80K, shio Ramen 68K, chashu ramen 88K (for the cheapest and most expensive 120K), negi ramen 78K, and miso ramen 85K.
Read moreDefinitely one of the best ramen place in Bali. The restaurant has a good environment. It is cozy with a lot of wooden interior. Pretty good for a restaurant that serves fastfood-kind of food. The only thing is that the music is too loud. (Or is it on purpose to get more turnover?) 😅
The staffs are quite friendly and polite.
For the food, I love their Creamy Shio Ramen. The noodle has a great texture and fresh taste. The broth is so good. Always makes me want to throw a bowl of rice to finish the soup (I know I am not suppose to do so) 😁 Unfortunately they don't have any option for extra noodle to be added to my soup.
However, their miso ramen is also delicious. Negi-ramen is also quite good, but it is quite spicy, so if you are not a fans of spicy food, you better go for another menu.
I Usually eat the ramen as it is. Half the way, sometimes I add a little bit of vinegar to give a fresh kick so didn't get bored with those thick creamy taste. And when I want to go bold, I add their hamatora spices prepared on the table.
Their karaage is also great. Juicy, well marinated, and has a crispy skin. But Gyoja is just ok for me.
Bonus, on every visit, you can get these for free: Iced water (free flow) Iced tea (free flow) cotton candy (they prepared the machine and we can make it by ourselves if we want) paper fan (uchiwa)
PS: most of ramen items will use pork lard in their broth.. I think they only have one option for ramen without any pork, which is Creamy...
Read moreGot what you would typically call Tonkotsu Ramen but it was titled “Chasu Ramen”. For some reason it came with ?chicken? Chasu (whatever that means) and regular pork Chasu. Asked for no chicken Chasu because it just threw me off. No price change for less food. Fair enough.
As a bowl of ramen 0/5. As a bowl of hot soup noodles if your craving a warm pick me up 2.5/5. Would not call this Ramen per say, but “does the job” and is edible as a bowl of hot soup noodles if you need it as a hit of comfort food.
Had my fare share of genuine Ramen with culturally authentic ingredients. And this is not it. Tbh far from it.
*However, the flavour did approach something similar to what my Chinese mom would make on a lazy Saturday afternoon with a chicken broth base (which this definitely was).
Very oily and greasy maybe to emulate genuine ramen broth? (See pic) tableside seasoning smells like oregano and also curry spice? Really threw me for a loop since I was at a Ramen restaurant.
Not genuine ramen noodles, super thick, chewy and somewhat undercooked. More likely resembled something like udon.
TLDR: Not Ramen, is hot soup that is...
