Teras Lempuna — Restaurant in Bali

Unfortunately the worst rating I’ve ever given to a restaurant in Bali, but based on our own experience we can only advise you avoid Lempuna. Service was fast, and we soon understood why: most of the food is instant food. The ginger tea, mushroom soup and noodles were out of instant packages. The food was also salty almost beyond being edible. But what gives it such a bad rating is that we both came down with a case of Bali belly after eating there :( We may have been unlucky, with other reviews seemingly not encountering such issue, but living in Bali half of the year that has never happened to us before so be warned.

Add up after owner response: You did not make us uncomfortable but ill. Within an hour of eating at your restaurant we were running for the loo, and still are 4 hours later. The fact that you do not respond to that part of my review, not even a word of empathy, leads me to believe you either fear it is true or put business before your customers’ health. Horrible experience... The price in menu list in Google and reality is different. Very costly for such simple ordinary food plus they takes 15% tax and service. We ask please don't use garlic and onion and finally we got a lot of onion and garlic in our food. The hot chocolate was just chemicals. Ordered 2 different meals and got plates with the same vegetables just in one plate was also water and it's called soup. Additionaly was crazy loud disco music from teens drinking alcohol outside and another people was watching TV inside and screaming like anything. It's just cold business, just to get money from people....

The good things about this place, they open early like 7AM. Cozy and good place to enjoy your breakfast. Their Japanese good supposed to be good but now they need to improve if they want to give the best. I prefer the Indonesian breakfast now. Last time I took the toast with scrambled egg and bacon. Love the quiet when you sit outside enjoy the breeze.
