I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Lost Cafe in Bali, and I can't stop raving about the incredible experience! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home.
The food at The Lost Cafe is nothing short of marvelous. My wife opted for the Soto Ayam, a dish that surpassed all expectations. The generous portion, coupled with the rich and flavorful gravy, made it a standout. Unlike anything we've had in Singapore, it came with both noodles and rice on the side – a delightful surprise.
On the chef's recommendation, I tried the Mango Tuna Salad Sandwich, and it was a crispy, filling delight. The flavors were exquisite, and I couldn't help but marvel at the combination of ingredients. We're self-proclaimed soto lovers, and the Soto Ayam at The Lost Cafe is on a whole new level.
The real star, though, was the magical sambal that accompanied the Soto. The kick it delivered was irresistible, and we found ourselves ordering three extra bottles to take back home to Singapore. Trust me, one serving is never enough!
The Lost Cafe is not just a dining spot; it's a unique experience. Located an hour's drive from Ubud in the Monkey Forest area, the journey is well worth it. The second level offers a bird's eye view of the picturesque surroundings, and we even had the pleasure of sharing the space with a friendly family of chickens.
The Lost Cafe is more than a cafe; it's a priceless souvenir of hospitality, great company, and unforgettable flavors. Whether you're planning to explore Bedugul onwards or just passing through, make sure to include this gem in your itinerary. You'll be left LOST for words!

Read moreWe can't believe our luck today! Every time we go to Bedugul for a short family getaway, we've struggled to find a good breakfast spot that serves delicious Western food and is pet-friendly. No offense to other cafes in the area, but their take on breakfast usually leans toward fried rice or noodles. So, all credit to my husband, who discovered The Lost Cafe on Google Maps, intrigued by its impressive 4.9-star rating.
At first, we weren't quite sure what to expect when we arrived. The cafe is quite small, and the location is easy to miss since it's tucked into a corner that you could easily drive past if you're not paying attention. There are only two tables inside, which can seat a maximum of six people, but they also have outdoor seating on the lawn. Just a heads up—if it rains, those outdoor tables might not be the best option since there's no cover.
We ordered the Mushroom Emmental Swiss Omelette and the Spring Onion Smoked Cheddar Scrambled Eggs (both with bacon). Wow, they were absolutely phenomenal! The eggs were perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. We were also served homemade strawberry jam, which had just the right balance of sweetness and tanginess—so delicious! We each had a cappuccino, and it was spot-on too.
Before leaving, we decided to grab some Spinach Feta and Cream Chicken Mushroom Puff Pastries to go, as we were planning to hike up Mt. Tapak after breakfast. We enjoyed the pastries at the summit, and let me tell you, they were incredible! The pastry was both soft and flaky, while the fillings were rich and flavorful—honestly, beyond words!
We can't wait for our next Bedugul trip to explore more of The Lost Cafe's menu. Kudos to the team for such a...

For this Warung Kesasar or The Lost Cafe. Although the place is small not too big and the food menu is not many variants ... but the food here is Falvorful, fresh and directly made by the owner's own hands, Bread for sandwiches is also homemade and jumbo portions. Great for sharing ha ha I ordered a burrito and iced coffee late ... very surprised when ordered Burrito portion was big and appetizing combination of Mexican and Indian sauces. On next weekend, I ordered the tuna sandwich, which was delicious and quite filling 😮💨🤤😍😋😋 The owner is super friendly and always smilling, the service is very good even though the serving is long... understandable because the owner cooks herself and the staff is still new (when I visited there). Unfortunately, there is no wooden cover for the toilet or restroom, only use a curtain, so it's better to ask a friend to look after you ha ha. You can stop at this place for lunch and just drink coffee when you're tired of long drive. I know it can be noisy from the sound of vehicles due to the location on the main road and If it's crowded and full, you have to wait patiently but no problem. You won't regret being satisfied by foods.
