Via Emilia in Canggu, Bali is an absolute gem for Italian food enthusiasts. I recently dined at this establishment and was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience it had to offer. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance exuded a cozy and inviting Italian charm, setting the stage for what turned out to be a delightful culinary journey.
One of the standout features of Via Emilia is its extensive menu that caters to all palates. Upon perusing the menu, I decided to try their pesto pasta and vegetarian red sauce pasta. Both dishes were executed with finesse, showcasing the chef's attention to detail and commitment to authentic flavors. What truly caught my attention was the option to customize the seasonings at the table, allowing me to tailor the dishes exactly to my liking—a thoughtful touch that elevated the dining experience.
In addition to the pasta, I also indulged in the vegetarian lasagna and the spinach and cheese "lasagna," both of which exceeded my expectations. The layers of flavors in each bite were harmonious, and it was evident that quality ingredients were used in the preparation of these dishes. The vegetarian lasagna, in particular, stood out for its rich and savory taste, leaving me craving for more.
However, the real star of the show at Via Emilia is their margherita pizza. I can confidently say that it's one of the best in town, if not the best. The pizza boasted a perfectly thin and crispy crust, topped with fresh tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil—a classic combination executed flawlessly. Each bite was a symphony of flavors that left me longing for another slice.
The portion sizes at Via Emilia are generous, making it an ideal spot for a date night or a gathering with friends. The cozy ambiance, coupled with the delicious food, creates the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. As I reflected on my meal, I couldn't help but rue the fact that I didn't save room for dessert—a mistake that I won't repeat on my next visit.
In conclusion, Via Emilia in Canggu, Bali, is a culinary haven that captures the essence of authentic Italian cuisine. With a diverse menu, impeccable execution, and warm service, this restaurant has firmly secured its place as a must-visit destination for food lovers. Whether you're craving pasta, pizza, or a hearty lasagna, Via Emilia delivers on all fronts, promising a gastronomic experience that will linger in your memory long after you leave. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a taste of Italy in the...
Read moreAMAZING food! I came for lunch and had the pumpkin gnocchi. There were a variety of sauces to choose from. I opted for the mushroom cream sauce. Those were some of the best mushrooms I’ve ever had! I would say the cream sauce could have been a bit thicker- but that’s just me being highly critical. The taste was amazing. The texture was perfect. They served it with a side of fresh Parmesan that I gladly sprinkled on top after I took the photo of how it was served. I also had a strawberry yogurt drink that was delightful. I finally asked the server to take the glass away from me because I couldn’t stop slurping on the straw to get every drop out of it lol. I thought about how amazing my meal was all day, so later ordered a pizza from them through Gojek. It was equally outstanding. Fabulous toppings of ham, artichokes, mushrooms, black and green olives, and of course cheese and sauce. The crust was perfect, too. This is my new favorite restaurant! The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Really glad I...
Read moreWe had an excellent meal here ! After a complimentary bread plate we had pasta meals consisting of Pappardelle with meatballs and Cannelloni with Ricotta and spinach. Both meals really good ! Enjoyed a glass of Chianti and we shared a Panna cotta for a sweet. Loved the limoncello drink as a digestive at the end. The service was very friendly here too. We noted a good supply of frozen takeaway pastas and meals here for sale plus gelatos. This is the best Italian restaurant we have been to in Bali, very authentic and we loved the overall dining experience of around 2 hours or so. The only negative was a couple next to us being noisy chatting on the speaker phone for most of the evening. Note the location is at a very busy spot but convenient parking is available next to the entry. Definitely going...
