Bakso & Mie Ayam Son Haji Sony — Restaurant in Bandar Lampung

Hmmm... So this is THE famous bakso in Lampung.!!

Ok ok, I'm not sure if the local taste in Lampung loves using TONS of black pepper but come on, really???

I ordered MIE AYAM BAKSO - The noodles are nice and chewy, bakso is also tender but why they put waaaaaaay too much black pepper that's hurting my throat 😫 😭 don't get me wrong, I like black pepper but nothing like this!!

Funny enough.. I went there twice and still the same, 1st time I thought oh maybe the cook made a mistake by putting too much pepper, guess not.. hahahhaaa I love spicy food but nothing like this tho.. it burns my throat and makes me gassy instantly!!

The only thing that's delicious about this restaurant is the appetizer.. PEMPEK that they served direct on the table. The vinegar sauce was perfect, I looooveeeeeee it!!!!!

And if you order the Mie Ayam, prepare to wait for a long time because it takes a looong time until you can enjoy their BLACK PEPPER MIE AYAM 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Will I come back when I visit Lampung again? Yes, but only for the Pempek and...

wall-painted cartoon decorated all over the resto wall, makes the room more alive..the wall-mounted fan can make the room cool, while outdoor is a bit hot temperature, because lampung temperatur is a bit hot 33-34 C.

when i order sweet ice tea, the waiter said they dont served ice cubes, so i eventually i ordered mineral water with ice.( i suggest they would serve more cool drinks, such as /orange with ice/es jeruk, sweet ice tea/es teh manis, milkshake, and variety of fruits juices) the meatballs taste meaty, a bit hard to chew. the meatballs served as a clear soup with a coriander leaves. But for me, the taste is not a special thing for me. i would gv 7 of 10. there is no other menu, just chicken noodle (mi ayam and meatballs/bakso). in my opinion, the staff very helpfull, but the menu just so so.

The food, the meatballs, and the noodle are so delicious! I can see why it's always crowded like this. That's also why you have to be patient since the service can take really slow. Even when you called the waiters many times, sometimes they cannot take your orders at once. Especially when you order Meatballs with the rice noodle and clear soup only. I think it explains their restaurant's SOP to always serve pempek first. So, they wouldn't be too hungry while waiting for the food to come. But I ordered chicken noodle and it came so fast. I finished it but my friends's orders had not come yet 😀 so, I don't think it's a good idea if you want to order clear meatballs and you patience is thin hahhaha ,, the price is also affordable as well.
