Tried Nasi Uduk Toha in Bandar Lampung and it really lives up to the hype! The rice is fragrant and flavorful, with a rich coconut taste that pairs perfectly with the side dishes. I especially enjoyed the crispy fried chicken and sambal spicy, tasty, and addictive. The portion is generous, the price is friendly, and the place has that local, authentic vibe. But for the ambience, it’s not the most comfortable; there are quite a lot of people coming around offering snacks or asking for donations, which can feel a bit distracting while eating. The place was super crowded! Even though the room is spacious and there are plenty of tables and chairs, it was still packed. You need to be patient and wait in line.

When you arrive, you can order directly at the counter, and pay after you finish eating.

Nasi uduk was delicious, really flavorful. The fried chicken was small but well-seasoned, and the sambal was tasty.

Unfortunately, when we went, many of the menu items were already sold out—only chicken, tofu, tempe & sambal were left.

As we arrived too late the night before and the chicken were sold out, we went the next day. The queue started before it open at 4.30pm. We took away instead of eating in. We had the fried chicken, heart, neck(head), mixed vegetables and tahu. Everything was refried again to make them taste better I think. All was good, especially liked the heart and neck. Sambal was just nice, spicy but not bearable for me. The rice was fragrant. As we did not eat in the shop, the good might have tasted of we ate there...
