Rm Sian Lie Seafood Baru — Restaurant in Bangka-Belitung Islands

Located on Kelayan beach (not the best swimming spot though), this is quite a big restaurant, I believe they host big events. Terrible service, food comes in no particular order (our 2 vegetable dishes came almost at the end of the meal). I had to go fetch the myself to make sure we still get it in time before finishing our nasi goreng. Tardy service. Be prepared to wait (we called and waited at least 20 mins for order to be taken and then almost 1 hour+ for food to be served - nasi goreng came first and then other dishes followed after 15 mins or so). Restaurant was not busy at all when we ordered. Seafood served seemed to be frozen and not as fresh as some other restaurants we tried along the same beach. Lobster is expensive. The important highlight is how to enjoy waiting time for the foods are served on your table. You should be patient to wait your foods are well served on your table while the restaurant are crowd. During wait your foods, you can take your children to play along the white sand beach, swimming, or perhaps other activities to kill waiting time.

We arrived early for dinner at 17.30. There were lots of table available, mostly outdoors. There were several tables in indoor. The view is directly to the beach and the sea. I think this beach is one of the most white sand beach in Belitung. We ordered grilled fish, calamari crunchy batter and sweet sour shrimp. They delivered the food quickly. It was yummy but the calamari should have been better...
