Okay, another serious review
Firstly... service Pretty good, they came to us right away and recommended availabe table, they know which part is bathed in sunlight and which one is cozy
Second.. ambience Simply love it, im into minimalist concept anyway hahaha, i know theres more to it but im not a master in design-thing So i would just say its really comfortable, there are so many spot to make good pics for instagram's feed HOWEVER... theres this thing bothering me, sofa kurang tinggi buat mejanya, tangannya jadi agak naik waktu makan Tapi masih bearable lah
Third, food and beverages? Dude, your chef or cook or whatever made the food... i love em I got myself a chocolate croissants, the best in town i think, well theres not many competition tho 😂 No, for real its pretty good Suggestion for you guys ordering croissants, ask for a knife if you feel like to, they'll give it For main dish we got japanese curry rice and pad thai, one word.... superb The curry, it brought me back to malaysia some years ago, not so thick not so thin, just purrfect :") My mistake tho, i knew i shouldnt order a coffee but i still damn did, fortunately i ordered sparkling water too 😁 I think eatery is much more proper for Madja, orait i knew making eatery and coffee concept is not an easy task to do after all... It would be better if theres something that could either mix them together or divide them apart Probably honing the mocktail and bind it together with main dish could be a good idea
Lastly, price? Mehh, its worth every penny
NB. Ill come again soon For whoever behind it, gud luck on your journey with madja, wish u luck...
Read moreThe place is aesthetically pleasing, nice interior, has outdoor seating with a pretty garden. Kinda bummed when they gave me a coffee table for dinner without confirming with me first when I made the reservation, though. It's not comfortable to eat a steak and other main courses while hunching.
Taste wise, the food still hit and miss. Steak and grill takes forever, even though I already reserved and paid upfront for it before, for an IFTHAR, nonetheless. So my fasting friends had to starve for almost an hour before the food arrived (after we asked them too).
They tasted okay, but the nasi campur... Let's say, I've had 'nasi bungkus' way tastier than this. So, choose your main course wisely.
The pizza was quite decent tho, try them out.
The drinks are underwhelming for the price but not that bad. The desserts are not quite there yet (carrot cake too dense, panacotta too runny, etc) but the taste is fine. So maybe they need to work on perfecting the dishes.
And yeah, it's on the expensive side of the price range. I don't mind spending more money for quality, but I believe they still need more improvement for the price...
Read moreIt has been probably a year since our last visit, and many things have changed: 1-the menu had a make over : gone the exotic western foods, place to local indonesian/Asian dishes with reasonable prices. I had a double cheeseburger (55k) that is pricey, but it's a complete meal. Not " five guys" yet, but really decent and an impressive size. My wife had a tom yum soup, that she loved. 2-the yard has been redesigned, with more tables and more open space. There is a local band , that sings local and international songs, and lets patrons sing as well if they want. So quite a surprise, as Madja was the only place where we could have a more sophisticated meal in Klaten, but I guess the market for this sophisticated food is not big enough, hence the " downgrade". A negative point : we noted last year that the sofas on the upper terrace were rusting, and their cushions were very dirty....well, in 2025, The sofas are still there, their frame more rusty, and their cushions are...
