Review of 2 Jan ‘19. Went here on a rainy day with my big family. Most of the tables available were messy and unclean, asked the waiter...4 TIMES to finally get them clean the table for us. I'm aware that they were pretty busy, but we were waiting for a long time just to sit. The first time I asked, the waiter didn't even stop for me to listen so I had to kinda run, which he replied "nanti, belum ada orang" which didn't make any sense 😂
Then I looked for the other waiter that we wanted to order food at table 7--he only nodded but never came. The service is TERRIBLE so don't expect too much though this place is quite fancy. We had to wait more than an hour for our meals, weird how they didn't give us the food one by one, at least to give us the snacks first.
The food? My suggestion is just to order snacks (ketela, fried banana, tempe) and don't come here with an empty stomach considering the meals they serve are not that good. My ayam betutu isn't spicy at all and lacks of spices with super watery soup, the beef steak is served with SWEET SAUCE with coconut taste and reminds me of wingko babat 😂 what a joke (and isn't worth 44k). The soup iga is a bit salty.
The tea? Awesome. I really like the Italian almond tea, it's refreshing and smells good.
The view? Superb!
I'm just very disappointed because we were driving all the way from Boyolali just to get here. 10/10 won't do that again, unless I'm in Lawu area and want to...
Read moreWe had a family trip here in Central Java not long ago and this is one of the best places we have been to.
This is where Javanese have their tea planted, produced and sold. It gives you a whole new lesson to see how tea industry has been established since Dutch Era until now how Indonesian tea taste has been set. This is the origin of Indonesian tea standard and center.
We visited the tea tree farm and had afternoon tea here next to the field. The thing I learned from this is that, when you have tea and you want sugar, try their palm sugar instead of the regular sugar. It tastes different and you don't get this anywhere else except in Indonesia probably.
They also serve food, but to be honest, I don't remember much. I do remember the strong and more bitter taste of the tea that Indonesians like. After you get used to it, it is indeed unforgettable.
We have enjoyed the visit and learned a lot and hope...
Read morethe food taste like my love life😋😋. bitter and doesn't exist. my cousin ordered ayam betutu and the chicken was so cold. the texture of the beef steak was awful, the sauce tasted like SEMUR. and the drinks,,, oh man,,, i ordered a hot red velvet and what came out is a tasteless bitter bright pink drink. i Know better red velvet doesn't look and taste like that. i had the worst red velvet ever. AND THE SERVICE. when i complained about the service, "mas, red velvetnya kok gaada rasanya ya?" he answered while smoking in the kitchen, "eh gatau deh, dari dulu emang begitu" bitter service, bitter food. COMPLETEEE😩😩🤗👌
anyway,, good place, nice ambiance. has alot of spot to take some pictures. other than that, the cooks cant cook.
