Cahaya Mas is more than just a place to eat; it’s a cherished landmark that evokes the warmth and flavors of childhood memories. Every time I return to my hometown for the annual homecoming, visiting Cahaya Mas is an unmissable tradition. This iconic eatery is renowned for its consistently delicious dishes that never fail to satisfy both the palate and the soul.
Among the standout offerings, the mie ayam (chicken noodles) holds a special place in my heart. The noodles are perfectly cooked, with a rich, savory broth that strikes a delicate balance between flavorful and comforting, this dish instantly transports me back to simpler times. “Telor Lo” adds a unique, savory depth that complements the noodles beautifully, creating a harmonious blend of textures and tastes.
Another favorite is the nasi campur (pork mixed rice), which showcases a delightful assortment of side dishes, each bursting with authentic, robust flavors. Every component is prepared with care, delivering a symphony of tastes that blend traditional recipes with fresh ingredients. And don’t forget their chili sauce!! It’s a must !
If you ever find yourself craving a nostalgic taste of authentic Indonesian comfort food, Cahaya Mas is the place to go. It’s not just a meal; it’s a heartfelt journey back to the flavors of childhood, making every visit a meaningful and delicious ritual....

Not to mention their "bistik babi" is so great. eventhough its a bit pricey, i would still recommend you guys to try it out.
They keep the place simple, spacey, and clean. Not that well decorated but still gives you that vintage feeling.
Two portions of bakmi and a portion of bistik babi will cost you around Rp.100,000

It's the combination between pork meat and puyunghai textures. Nasi campur is so so because I eat after some hours. But it is very different with nasi campur with pontianak...
