Sate Kambing Muda H. Suharjo — Restaurant in Central Java

Accidentally took the Brebes exit gate on my trip to Semarang. Since it was lunch time, I did a little research on google and decided to try this place out. Ordered the lamb and chicken satay, lamb soup and lamb curry. Ordered 2 portions of lamb satay [total 20 skewers] and they were inconsistent in taste. Some were soft and juicy but some were dry and very chewy.

The chicken satay tasted OK. Nothing to say for the lamb soup and lamb curry tho. Best food there was surprisingly the potato fritters (perkedel). The potato fritters are highly recommended especially when they are served piping hot 😄

Service however was superb. The staffs there were all friendly and welcoming. Felt like I was eating at my neighbor’s house instead of a restaurant very far...

Try this satay restaurant because it has a great review in google maps. We order lamb satay and lamb soup. The taste of the soup is good and the lamb meat is quite soft but for me its still has a lamb smell. The satay itself is not soft at all and does not reach our expectation from the good review here. Maybe because brebes is a small city and there are not so many options to eat here, this restaurant near town plaza automatically becomes famous.

Menurut saya Ini adalah tempat sate kambing yang wajib di kunjungi. Harga sate memang sedikit lebih mahal dibandingkan anda beli sate dipinggir jalan, tetapi sangat sesuai antara harga dan ukuran besar sate. Jika anda penggemar sate kambing jumbo, tempat ini adalah tempat terbaik, ukuran sate kambingnya 3-4 kali ukuran normal.

Yang patut diacungkan jempol adalah harga dan rasa gulai kambing. Harganya sangat murah, dan isinya banyak. Bagi yang punya riwayat asam urat, agar persiapkan obat pereda nyeri sebelum makan, saya merasakan karena sangat enak, saya tidak bisa berhenti memakannya, alhasil asam urat saya dalam hitungan menit langsung kambuh. Jangan coba soto ayamnya jika anda biasa memakan soto Lamongan, karena rasanya sangat jauh dari yang dibayangkan (alias kurang begitu nikmat)

Akhir kata, setiap saya mudik ke Jawa timur saya selalu menyempatkan berkunjung ke tempat ini. Ini adalah tempat spesial bagi pecinta sate kambing. Semoga tetap buka...
