Soto Segeer Mbok Giyem — Restaurant in Central Java

It's tradisional version of fastfood. Fast served, appropriate portion, vast selection of fritters, accommodating high frequency of visitors (especially during breakfast and dinner).

Please don't expect exceptional atmosphere, yet this place is for busy employee for super fast yet "homey" meal, next door visitor, anyone who only has 10 - 15 minutes to eat.

I reckon they have family secrets recipe for soto that kept old customers coming back and new one would come as well (based on how diversed their customers during my visit).

When you're visiting Klaten or happened to pass this town, definitely worth to come by. Strategically located and easily accessible, though parking space might be a problem...

Favorite place for breakfast when going to Solo from Jogja. The place is easy to notice as it’s right on the street route. Parking for car is easy.

This place provides very delicious soto. The portion size is perfect for me though maybe it is not enough for some people. They only provide soto so no other menu available.

It has lots of side dishes and snacks, from tempe, tahu, satay, egg, and others. Quite complete in my opinion.

best soto ever i swear i've never tasted anything like this. always a must everytime my family visits klaten. come early in the morning, grab the tempe mendoan while it's fresh from the kitchen, and make sure to take the paru satay (beef lung) and dips in the soto while it's hot (the paru would be warm and soft oh god i want another one right now). other branches of soto mbok giyem doesn't taste as good, make sure to always come to this one. the place is always a crowd but no need to worry, people come and go...
