Bumi Aki Cisarua — Restaurant in Cisarua

Perhaps one of the few restaurants which truly deserve its high rating.

I went for lunch on the 1st September 2025, ordering a large variety of food including the ikan gurame makcombrang, gurame bakar, nasi goreng kampung, as well as other side dishes. Honestly, I cannot point to a certain dish and say it’s the star of the show because everything tasted good. You can taste the freshness in the gurame fish, and how the spices and seasonings are soaked throughout the fish. The nasi goreng kampung, albeit looking bland, is very understated. Perhaps the best nasi goreng I’ve tasted.

Service was also exceptional. The staff are very professional and they greet you as soon as you step out of your vehicle. Kudos to my server, Maulana, for showing deep understanding in the dishes served at the restaurant. Also helped to take photos of our family. Serving time was also exceptionally quick— I barely had the chance to talk with my family before the whole meal was served!

The menu offers a wide variety of authentic Sundanese dishes, and everything we ordered was delicious. From the traditional nasi to the flavorful grilled fish, each dish showcases the rich taste of Sundanese cuisine.

Service at the restaurant is impressively fast, even during peak hours. Despite having plenty of tables, the restaurant is often full, especially when the one-way traffic system is in place.

Came to takeaway the food. I wish we could dine in though, nice place with good feel, wanted to give the kids the experience of "lesehan". Service was good, real courteous bunch of staff, well attentive. Fried rice, wiped out in no time by the kids. 'Tempe mendoan' and 'capcai goreng' were tasty. My 'karedok' and 'gado-gado' had good peanut sauce, consistency was rather thick but obviously that made the whole meal overly pleasant.
