My favourite japanese restaurant! The taste is really authentic. Really japanese taste in someway but surprisingly it can accepted by "indonesian tongue". Not really light (like common japanese food that I know) but not too much spice.
The main menu is, of course, oden. Really good and delicious! For the other food, I recommend you Soumen aka Cold Noodle (this is a really strange menu but very delicious tbh!), Kushikatsu set (oden is boiled dish, kushikatsu is fried dish), Butter Enoki Corn (omg this is soooo good!), Rice Curry, and for the dessert is Caramel Pudding.
For the drink option, there are a few choices. But I recommend their "Es Tebu". Really sweet and honestly I never taste and found any Es Tebu in Bali especially Denpasar. This is a great choice to try.
Also the place is really authentic. It feels like you entered the yakuza basecamp 😂 Unfortunately the place is small and have limited seats so if the restaurant was full, you have to wait about 10-20 minutes outside.
For parking, they don't have a really big space but you can park at the other space beside Oden Ya.
They accepted any payment such as cash, debit card, QRIS, and OVO.
You have to try Oden Ya at least once, and I'm sure that you will come again and...
Read moreI missed those days when I can go to konbini for a bowl of hot daikon during winter with boss coffee from the heated shelf. All of the sudden, I found this place to start my Nippon reminiscing journey.
Its owned by Nihonjin, curated exactly like the way it should be. Its small, smoky from the open bar kitchen stove, menus written on the wall besides posters saga and 70s 80s Japanese pop tunes beats on the TV speakers.
You can feel the vibrant when others talking with their friends or just you sitting alone in the bar stool waiting for the orders to come. Everything is blending.
Don't ask me about the taste, cuz I will definitely go back again and become one of their regulars. It may not be close enough for others, but who cares...
Alright, straight to the orders. I had a bowl of daikon, kinchaku, atsuage for the first round. Second round was curry rice and closing with agedashi tofu. Fill up my thirst with a glass of cold ocha.
Next, I will have caramel pudding for sure after the main...
Read moreFirst time here, the place is Ok a bit small but it is a family resto-like. The price is bit too much for some item and the portion is quite small, not too much but it could be better.
The service is ok, friendly but not helpful or fast. For a hot ocha i have to wait like second course.
Trust me, the price the service is not as when i was in Japan but okay, for oden surpsingly good for the broth but the fillings are small and bland.
Ok place, medium portion, service is not good but friendly, price.. it could be better. Like for example “yakiniku bowl” its just plain slice beef and onion, it sells about 53k without tax.
Would i come here again? There is other place that is better in denpasar bali but for oden? This is the only place you can get. Wish there is a Family mart in Bali,...
