Kampung Kecil Cinere — Restaurant in Depok

Good Place for some gatherings event, especially for family, friends, or work partner time with a bunch of people. It's place looks like resident area and behind the Cinere apartment, so it has a large place for a pick up point. Cuz, it' s little bit like a hidden place, you should use Google map. It has a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Most of them using Sundanese culture and vibe. They also play some traditional music on it. They has a view kind of sitting place, there are Saung (Traditional sitting place) that place on the middle of the swimming pool (If you bring your kids, they also can play in the swimming pool but it's more like just put their foots in the swimming pool, because it's not deep) and the long of restaurant area (It's more like sitting place just for a view people like 6-8 people and Lesehan) and regular dining place using a chair and table for bounch of people. For the foods and drinks, most of them is delicious and very flavoury with affordable price. You can do "Ngeliwet" (Sundanese traditional eating culture) but because of it's traditional modern restaurant, they also served you a plate for each people. Because of many people who want to "Bukber" (Open the fasting together), you must book the place before with mount of many. They will give you 2 hour's since you eat in the place. We were there on Saturday lunch time, very busdy but we manage to get a Saung for us to dine in. The service is quick but sometimes because weekend is so busy, you might miss your order so recheck again with the waiters.

The food is average good. I cannot complain as it comes with a good affordable price too. Our favorite is gurame goreng and sate ayam (the sate is so juicy and full of meat) also mango sago for the drink/ desserts. The bakwan goreng can add more salt/ bumbu. I asked them to add tahu isi goreng or tahu goreng isi udang where you can find these menu in many Sundanese restaurants like this.

The vibe of the place is surely the winner! We can have a very relax ambience and if you have kids they can go around the place as they have birds in the cage too and fishes around the Saung. Althought it would be great if they add the number of fishes.

Also people throw trash to the water around the saung, i feel so bad for the fishes. Hopefully the staff can be more attentive in reminding people and also to take the trash from the water.

We were served by Kak Jeffry who was very attentive, asking the feedback to us and gave lollipo to our kid.

Edited my review (before, it was 5star) until…

First, they forgot to note one of our orders, settled soon after. Secondly, we faced some issues right after finished our dinner. They said we haven't pay for the additional food that we ordered, tho we already paid upfront right after we ordered, as their system required. Funny was, this happened right after the CS guy came to us and asked for good google review 😬 LOL (that’s why i edited my reviews).

Turned out that they forgot to record our payment in their system. We settled the problem in the end, they apologized and admit their mistakes. Still it caused some inconvenience from our end. Hope there are some improvements in the future or at least double check with other staffs before coming to us.
