Thyme Beef Bar & Eatery — Restaurant in Depok

For me, the service is number one when it comes to eating good food, and Thyme is surely one of the better ones in every aspect.

I brought a group of 18 people here, and we were served informatively, attentively, and efficiently by three waitresses.

And also thumbs-up for the people who took our last-minute reservation and helped with the setup.

The food was great, i tried:

Nasi goreng because that's just what every other Indonesian does at any restaurant.

A selection of dry-aged meat — it's fresh, seasoned properly, and good quality. Plus, we could see the steak being cooked live.

Fettuccine — nice texture and sauce.

The ambiance at this property was great, with no loud music, and each table was spaced out comfortably.

What I like is that it’s not trying to be too fancy, yet still accessible even for casual diners. This is reflected in the price of the food — at any random steakhouse in Jakarta, if you bring your whole group, you could end up spending twice as much!

It is definitely a place to return to next time, and I can vouch for this...

The menu is widely varied. You could find Indonesian and Western cuisines. However, my favorite is oxtail soup. The portion is more than enough for one person. The taste is nice. I usually order the oxtail to be baked as it turns so tender and well caramelized with sweet+savory taste.

Their home style lasagna is nice to try too. I guess they use the right cheese for this dish.

The dry aged steak is affordable. One person would be enough with 200-300gr. However, I wish their gratin would be more cheesy and smooth :)

Oh ya, last but not least..their hospitality is beyond expectation! Nice staff! From the security officer at the basement, the waiters, everyone!

Need no worry to visit this place during pandemic. Their standard of hygiene is safe. But, last time I couldn't check in using my Pedulilindungi. I think there is something wrong the apps. Not the restaurant fault, as I also encounter the same problem in different public place.

Went to this place since my partner recommended me to dine here. He said the restaurant is located in the same building as the pastry/bakery. Parking lot is spacious, and comfortable. The service was awesome, not only the security was very helpful, the waiters and waitresses were also very nice and friendly. The restaurant itself is on the 3rd floor of the building, but don’t worry, the building has an elevator to accommodate convenient access. Foods and beverages were amazing (we went here on Dec 22nd and today, both days’ meals we ordered were delicious!). They cook your meals in an open kitchen so I’d say the kitchen itself is clean.
