RM Tepian Pandan — Restaurant in East Kalimantan

Seemingly the best restaurant in Tenggarong; famous with the locals and even the local government officials. The food is quite local - even they have the venison satay - quite tasty and worth a try. The seafood, especially the prawns is the signature of this region; thus worth a try. The other seafood is also very good, all worth a try. You can select the fish/ prawn/ others from the fridge and they can cook for you; I suggest to ask them how they would cook it for optimum taste! Service is OK. I came here after visiting Mulawarman Museum. It's located on the riverside of Mahakam River. Their specialty is 'Payau' which is a deer meat. Their peanut sauce was good, but the meat is too tough. Personally, I don't really liked it. But the other menus are pretty good and satisfying.
