Cafe MOOn& resto free wi-fi — Restaurant in East Nusa Tenggara

The restaurant doesn't have much seats, and can get quite busy during dinner time.

The owner tried persuading, then pressuring me to leave a 5 star review after knowing my experience here is bad, is not a good look.

I ordered a lalapan chicken and hot chocolate, and both took almost an hour and a half to be served, also a similar situation to a French family sitting beside me. I was in a good mood and wasn't going to be too bothered by the wait, but the food is horrible, considering the wait time and tourist pricing.

The chicken lalapan came with supermarket CHILLI SAUCE as their sambal, if you're familiar with Indonesian food this is totally unacceptable! The chicken is mid, nothing too standout. The side dishes are of small portion too. This was 50k!

What really pissed me off is the owner trying to pressure me to leave a 5 star review. He did apologise to me for the long wait, and after expressing my disappointment with the food. He keeps insisting me to leave a 5 star on Google because "they're just a new business". And kept asking if I already left a 5 star continuously after it. Sorry, but I believe a fair review can only help your business improve!

I still gave 2 stars, because there's indeed working free WiFi as advertised, and the environment feels very...

A very pleasant place with good view and good foods

This restaurant offers beautiful view and very tasty dishes, and free wifi. Of our three night stay at the room uphill (run by the same family), we had three meals here, plus daily breakfasts which were included with our stay. We highly recommend the Balado eggplant dish, vegetable spring rolls, corn fritters, fried chicken, and Soto Ayam (I liked the very rich, flavorful chicken broth with herbs). They were very flexible to my choice for breakfasts as well. It took a little while for our orders to be served but the foods were very tasty. The food is really bad and the atmosphere felt weird : the owner was smoking with his friends while his daughter and wife were the only ones working, he was not welcoming and made us feel like he was not happy to see us there, the food was not good, the fried chicken was dripping with oil, it was too cooked on the outside and raw inside, suggesting that it was trown frozen into the fryer, the vegetables were in very small quantity, they had not been washed and the skin was still on them, so the risk for non local to get food poisoning was high.

Please go somewhere else, other places alsos...
