It used to be the go to place to eat Sundanese 24/7. During Covid restrictions, only opens till 9 pm. A whole lot of choices of main dishes, mostly to be refried. Choose your favorite ones and attendant will heat them up. An IDR 8k price per pax includes all you can eat rice, unlimited sambal terasi, and fresh greens/lalaban, free flow plain warm tea. For extra 5k you can get one of the best tamarind soup/Sayur Asem which are loaded with the proper veggies, and they don't skimp on these items. Unlike in most other places where you are served with a watered down Sayur Asem with minimalistic ingredients. Worth a try.
Have some variety of Dessert, but best to try the young coconut on ice/es kelapa muda.
It is not a rip off place, and you can really have a filling wholesome meal for under 20k if you choose to only have fried tofu or tempe for main dish, while you already have the rice, lalaban, and Sayur Asem.
Of course you can splurge a bit more. Average spending per pax is around 25k and up.
Ample parking and relatively clean and spaced out dining tables.
If you like Sundanese, definitely a must visit within the Bintaro Pondok Indah area. Easy access to JORR toll road...

However, if youโre on your cheat day and are open for the possibility of having an increase of cholesterol and uric acid in your blood, then this is the place for you ๐
Ampera 2 Tak offers you various dishes ranging from fried tilapia or mujair/ nila and catfish, empal gepuk (Sundanese fried beef), chicken, various offals (tripes, intestines and lungs), tofu and tempeh, salted fish and squid, to chicken skin, chicken liver and gizzard, sayur asam and pepesan (various dish wrapped and steamed in banana leaves).
Most of the foods here are pre-cooked. You just have to choose and take what you like from the display and the staff will have them reheated (by refrying them) prior to serving to your table.
My personal fave here are the fried chicken, fried tripes, fried intestines and the chicken skin satay. Like I said, only come here if you are willing to risk the possibility of having a tiny increase of cholesterol and...
ย ย ย Read moreOne of my to go places when I crave for something simple yet comforting. Bring back lots of memories cause I used to went to a University near here and I came here quite often with my family.
To be honest, taste wise it was nothing over the top. Just a simple all fried food kind of place with bottomless rice and Sayur Asem. But in terms of price, I find it very reasonable. Do note that this place can get very hot in the afternoon since there were no AC. Also, they only take cash for payment.
Pro tip : the sambal served at the table was not spicy at all but if youโre kinda adventurous and like hot stuff, ask for their...
