Lo and behold all of you bakso purist out there who said," heh? Kok makan bakso pake nasi!?". Majority who came here (when I visited) ordered that; bakso and nasi! And it put them on the trending train enough to create FOMO.
3 stars food just because the bakso is so average. I don't know about you guys, but, I know places that offers the same level of delicacy with half of the price. Oh, it's 38k per portion by the way.
2 stars service, during my visited I kept hearing," mas tadi saya pesen X tapi belum keluar". With a price range offered, yeah, 2 stars. Oh, the thing that make me sewot the most there were no price sign, the last place I visited that doesn't have such thing was puncak where in the end i have to pay 100rb for an Indomie, a cup of coffee, and a pack of cigarettes back then pre 2000. It's feels almost like a tourist bait.
4 stars atmosphere, now this is where it excel. IMHO, this place offer the minimum requirements for people who are willing to pay 38k per portion for Bakso Kampung. You'll meet with well-groomed-foreign-raised tionghoa descendants, member for Elektra glide riders, down to emak2 who drove Ignis. There were sign," dilarang bungkus sambal" and "dilarang bawa hewan peliharaan" all over the place, it spell enough the demographic.
Conclusion. Yeah, come here to check what's the hype all about. Bring your friends so you can say," Chuaks!" to them or to say," see it's packed even on Sunday 5pm". Or to destroy the dogma that bakso can't be eaten with nasi. Everything else? Pour moi, I rather have a 15k a bowl of bakso near by than to drive 30-40 minutes there.
Hint: if you really really on the mood of adventure trying out an extraordinary bakso, go to Bakso Son Haji Sonny at Condet. IMHO it's offered something unusual (bakso with a hint of...
Read moreOkay, if you have been following my reviews, I seldom giving a place or restaurant 5 stars.
However, after many good reviews from my friend including one that says this would be the last thing he wants to eat if the meal is his last supper. I just have to go and try the meatballs here.
This place is not easy to find as its not located in the main road. But just follow Google Maps and it will take you to the front of the place.
Well after tasting it. The broth is not made in this world for sure. It is super tasty and you can taste the hours into making a broth to be this rich.
The meatballs also very tender but springy and when you bite into it you can see red color inside. It is made from beef for sure.
After finishing a bowl for Rp. 27.000,-
I actually buy 4 more to go so all my family member can enjoy this awesome food.
Definitely one of the best if not the best meatballs you can find in Jakarta.
Like my fellow foodies said. This place is a die,...
Read moreIf you came to Jakarta Indonesia, one of the must try Bakso/Meatballs Restaurant. Wow this is another level of Bakso Dish. Two thumbs up. Indonesia have a different kind of bakso depending on the area. This resto have a Solo Bakso variation . From the broth, the depth of broth is on another level really love it, the meatball itself only have one kind, crunchy and chewy, love love the consistency and the meat is fresh homemade, and they gave you beef meat too. If you like spice the sambal is another level, realy spicy. If you can't handle spice, 1/2 of teaspoon is enough so watch out, the crispy fried spring onion also bring this Bakso to perfection. The only downside if there is no fresh lime to add sour to your dish but they serve cuka/vinegar. The atmosphere is really crowded, almost every time for brunch/or lunch. So you must efficient or a little fast to finish your dish, but everything is worthed. The Bakso Mas Kumis Slipi Dish is so delicious....
