Bento Kopi UI Depok — Restaurant in Jakarta

I visited the café on Saturday night, June 15, 2024. The place is quite spacious, though the seating arrangement is a bit confusing. The entire area is free smoking except for an air-conditioned room with synthetic grass carpet seating, which can accommodate about 3 to 4 groups of people.

The café was mostly filled with local university students and was quite crowded at the time. What ruined the atmosphere for me was the live music band, which played without any regard for aesthetics, ambiance, or customer tranquility. They played loudly and their music was unpleasant to listen to. While I understand their motivation to express themselves, they were not considering the comfort of the patrons. Strangely, it seemed the café facilitated them and even allowed them to ask for tips from the visitors. That was pretty bad.

Additionally, the espresso machine was broken (or perhaps not available), so only non-espresso-based drinks were offered. The taste of the drinks was just okay, and the prices were quite cheap. The food is actually decent for it's price point. It was okay. However, the service is bad, it took them an hour to clean my table after i sat on it and ask them. I also left my charger and my friend's charger on the table we sat (our fault, we do acknowledge that). However, i came back today and they said don't have it which for me doesn't really make any sense. They should've had it since they're the one who cleared and cleaned the table. First impression kesini tuh bagussss banget. makanan enak, minuman enak dan pelayanannya juga bagus. Tapi pas kedua kalinya kesini ada blunder (?) awalnya nanya mix platter ada atau nggak, katanya nggak ada. Tapi liat si pegawainya bawa mix kentang sama cireng terus nanya itu apa katanya mix platter karna Tahu Waliknya nggak ada jadi diganti isinya cireng sama kentang aja. Ngantri di kasir 15 menit pas nanya ke kasir katanya nggak mix platter karna tahunya nggak ada. Udah info sebelumnya kata pegawainya ada tetep kekeh nggak ada katanya. Yasudah, sudah mulai bete tapi karna first impression nya bagus mikir tetep kesana lagi karna harga oke dan tempatnya nyaman. Pas hari ini kesini rame, hampir semua tempat duduk penuh. Minuman cepet banget jadinya, nggak lama bayar udah jadi tapi nggak diaduk ((dari awal kaya gini)) jadi customer bingung ngaduknya gimana karna pake sedotan juga nggak bisa akhirnya mau gamau pinjem sendok buat ngaduk minuman ((ribet)) untuk makanan kita pesen cireng, iya cuman cireng tapi nunggunya satu jam. Saya kira karna rame jadi okelah 30 menit, tapi hanya cireng isi 5 biji kita menunggu satu jam. Dan cireng yang datang sudah dingin serta bentuknya tidak appeal sekali. Jadi ini terakhir saya datang ke bento kopi ui depok. Pelayanannya semakin lama semakin jelek. Belum bisa menghandle...
