Do An Vietnamese Experience — Restaurant in Jakarta

Would I give a 2 or 3 because the food is horrendous (frozen everything, likely)? Yes. Would I like to give a 4 for food that I would otherwise not be able to get, well, at least easily in Jakarta anymore despite the frozen everything? Actually, yes but the problem is I am not coming back again besides the great service.

Update: I thought about it since one month and having had a proper vietnamese bun in Singapore at a food court that you would be overplaying for a frozen bun that would likey upset the stomach but the experience (dining, customer service) was...

Baru pertama kali nyoba Do An yang di South Quarter. Kali ini order Bun Ga Nuong Xa (rice noodle salad+bbq chicken satay) dan minum Tra Me Oi (ice tamarind tea+chopped guava). Untuk salad bihunnya fresh sekali, rasanya jg enak, walau bagi saya terlalu manis karena sausnya juga asam manis. Sate ayamnya adalah bagian paling menarik. Enak banget, juicy, empuk, dan ukurannya besar2. Isi saladnya mirip dengan fresh spring roll, cuma bedanya ini di dalam mangkok dan tanpa rice paper. Porsinya lumayan besar. Minumannya asam manis segar, ditambah dengan potongan jambu biji yang manis. Untuk pelayanannya sendiri cukup cepat dan servernya juga helpful. Note: Saya datang di hari Minggu siang jam 2, awalnya bisa duduk dan order dengan nyaman, tapi gak lama kemudian ada acara dari sekolah musik di panggung di depan resto persis. Ngobrolpun ga kedengeran sama sekali. Jadi kalau mau datang di hari Minggu dan ngobrol nyaman, sebaiknya agak lebih awal, karena infonya acaranya tiap minggu (cmiiw). Located in lower ground of Dome South Quarter.. The taste is Ok, try their sukiyaki pho... Compare to the other vietnamese restaurant their pho is not serve with iconic green leafs... waitress are friendly and serve quickly... Price is standard as a franchise...
