Kafe Gamat Cempaka Putih — Restaurant in Jakarta

The Food & Beverages: Not a big fans of “Soto Mie Bogor”, but this one was delicious (at least for me). It’s kinda surprised me because I didn’t expect that the food that I randomly picked was good. I choose it just because of the promo (buy soto mie bogor and you get free sweet iced tea).

For the “Tahu Walik”, better eat them when it’s still warm so it’s feels crunchy on the outside when you bite. Sadly, there’s no sauce/chili as a condiment for this menu, you only get a sweet soy sauce w/ chili on it. Well, that’s not a good combination for me personally, but still good tho.

I also choose “Es Teh Sereh” (sorry, forgot to take a picture of it) as an additional order and that’s also good. It’s fresh and balanced (not too sweet and not too sour).

The Ambience: If you’re looking for a place to WFC, you can consider this one to add to your list. It’s feel cozy and the sounds from their speakers is not too loud that will disturb you while working. The song setlist was also good. There’s indoor and outdoor area that you can freely choose. Also, there’s private room/meeting room that you can book (I didn’t know about the details, you can contact them for more info). There’s also musholla/prayer room. The wifi connection is good, the aircon was also in right temperature, and there’s a power outlet to charge your laptop/handphone.

I love gamat since you guys serve good coffee, tasty food, and comfortable place to have a meal. therefore i come to Gamat Cemput almost everyday to grab my coffee and get some bfast. that being said, i noticed something that is repeatdly happening everytime i go to your place, which annoys me in long term, that the food is taking forever to be served. and that is just disappointing. even tho it's not peak hours, the service is surprisingly slow (meals from kitchen). how come i need to wait more than 30mins this morning only for bruschetta? to be noted, your place wasn't packed this morning (as usual), so i don't think the serving time should be that long. it costs me to be late to go to work if this is how your kitchen works. kudos for the barista, they always get my coffee super quick.

please take the lesson, as this is me speaking as a loyal customer that is happy to have such a good cafe near my house (as u know Cemput is lacking in good coffee shop).

I hope this review can help the café improve its service. The food and drinks you serve are very delicious. The atmosphere is also clean and tidy, and the waitstaff are attentive and helpful. However, in my opinion, the process of ordering food or drinks is a bit uncomfortable. When I first arrived, I noticed that there were no menus on the tables, and it turns out you have to order directly at the cashier. At the cashier, I had to mention the table number where I was seated. It's not a big deal, but I think for someone who likes to visit a café alone, this is a bit inconvenient. How if when I've already chosen a table, then I order at the cashier and mention my table number, when I return to my chosen table, there's already someone else occupying it.
