MAGAL Citra 6 — Restaurant in Jakarta

This is my first time trying MAGAL korean bbq food chain. So i tried new open magal restaurant brach at citra 6. My first impression about MAGAL is the food menu/variation mostly the same with MAPOGALMAEGI at pantai indah kapuk

From food perspective the meat are good and delicious. I tried their original pork skirtmeat, spicy marinated pork skirtmeat, and garlic sauce marinated pork skirtmeat. For the main dishes i order their japchae, stir-fried rice cake/tteobokki, and seafood soft tofu stew

Portion wise, MAGAL food portion quite small/lesser than MAPOGALMAEGI. The japchae not enough flavour, their tteokbooki too chewy or almost mushy in my opinion. And not forget their lettuce, the lettuce size are small and not fresh. I think they are using local lettuce. That’s why the lettuce not so good compare with MAPOGALMAEGI

I gave 4 stars for MAGAL especially citra 6 branch because of their friendly and humble staff. The staff work so fast and keep proffesional in order to fulfill our special request and additional order. So far if i have a chance, surely i will come back again to MAGAL to enjoy my favorite korean bbq with good quality...

I have to give one star for this time. I ordered samgyupsal (Large portion at price idr 140k) and Galmaegi (Medium portion at idr 128k) and look at the size of them when they came to my table. When I complained, why the samgyupsal (white color meat) looks like Medium size? Very tiny portion for Large size order. The waiter and waitress just kept saying that that is the correct size.

When Galmaegi came to my table, the portion looked the same as samgyupsal. 🤦‍♂️

After that no further follow up. Seems the waiters and waitress did not care with my complaint. Very dissapointing!!

Been eating many times in this place, but now, leaving very bad impression and not planning to come back to this...

Very poor services. It was raining. The restaurant not even at a full house. And, no waiting list was seen. However, the available seats on 1st floor are only for 4 pax or more. The seats for 2 people are all already taken. So, instead of letting us sit on the bigger space. The waitresses asked us to be on the waiting list. When I asked the permission to wait inside since it’s raining outside, the waitresses insisted us to have to wait outside despite the raining. So yeah, of course our appetite has long gone. Thank you, for a very poor service! Do not think to ever come back to...
