This is probably the best place to hang out around Perbun, Puri, Purman, etc. The size and price are very affordable and reasonable for young people (30-50k/person, food+ drink can refill).
The atmosphere is suitable for hanging our with friends, but maybe less for families, especially those with young children. This is because the distance between tables is quite close, so if there are impolite words, they can be heard by young children, and because it is free to cigarettes & vape, you should also think 1-2 times if you want to bring your children.
Service is slow, but fot that price it is reasonable n forgivable. The bathroom might be quite uncomfortable for women or those who want to take a dump. There is also wastafel for you to wash hands with soap.
If you come at night, although mosquito repellent is provided, i suggest to wear a long pants and wear shoes especially for those with sweet blood, because there are quite a loy of mosquitos.
There us a cover so that it is safe if it rains, its just that if the rain is heavy n windy, you might get splashed by the water. Sometimes there are stray cats wondering around, and it will get busier as it gets later, so around 6pm if possible, you should already be in the place n take a seat.
Overall a real good place to hang out, the food is good and the price is cheap. Service and toilets can be...
Read moreI love this place! Its affordable, has nice environment, and their food are delicious (the sambal is spicy too!). They cook their taichan with low fire to make sure the heat goes all through the chicken and its reaaaallly juicy. One of my fav food here is the Nasi ayam sambal matah (chicken + rice + sambal matah) and also the ovamaltine melted cheese toast!!
It should be noted that the taichan isnt always that juicy. When it's too crowded, the quality might change (like it might get be dry instead of juicy)
Oh and I recommend the thai tea as well! Usually it would be sold out quickly but its worth it if you do get it. Its really refreshing!!
(they have soffell to get rid of the mosquitoes. Just ask some and they'll give...
Read moreI visited this nearby coffee shop a few times and appreciate its variety of simple dishes like instant noodle, satay taichan, grilled bread, fried rice/beehoon, and matah chicken rice. I consistently order the matah chicken rice because I really enjoy its taste.
One downside is the presence of mosquitoes, but the café does provide mosquito repellent on the desk to help manage the issue. Parking is usually not a problem as the surrounding places close at night, making it convenient. The prices are standard for Jakarta, particularly in this upscale area.
Overall, it’s a comfortable spot with tasty food and manageable...
