Sate Palmerah/Kim Tek — Restaurant in Jakarta

It’s a well known lamb satay stall since my akong’s still young. Hehe. Indo peranakan style embedded into their masterful dishes. Be it gule (lamb curry soup), sop (clear lamb soup), and variety of satay. Everything in here is godlike. So delicious. -edited- Sep/2022; a portion of delicious satay is 100K. Can order ½ or mix with Liver/Heart. Best to eat with sweet soya, shallots & chili padi (rawit), can also add or mix with peanut sauce for extra oomph. Gule Kambing (45K 1/2 portion) is so decadent and rich on coconut milk, savory, succulent meat, tender and strong spices taste. What can i say? The first time I eat this satay around 8 years later, and i still eat it until now. They always changes their address in several time. As long i remembered they already move 2 times but still in nearby Jl. Panjang. I love their satay, tender and juicy but no smell at all. For sauce they have 2 kind of sauce which is soy sauce with minced red union and chili or peanut sauce. They also served you with pickle. Price for me actually just fine, but mostly i ate in here for lunch, without AC and many customer come make this place as a hell disaster. HOT!! They also served soups.. worth to try....

One of the best sate kambing around, exceptionally juicy and tasty, accompanied by both peanut and soy sauce to suit different tastes. Their gule kambing is quite generous with the meat, but the taste can clearly be improved - I'll stick with the sate. The place is simple, more like a permanent roadside stall rather than a restaurant, but generally clean and comfortable enough. The price isn't exactly roadside price, but worth...
