Abuba Steak — Restaurant in Jakarta

Abuba Steak is a steakhouse that already has many branches in Jakarta. This is one of the branches which is located on Jalan Panjang. Has a large parking area so it can accommodate more than 10 cars. The dining area in the restaurant is also quite large and comfortable. The room is full AC. Because again during the Corona pandemic, a place to wash hands is prepared before entering the restaurant area. When entered, we will take our temperature and it is available for hand sanitizers. After that we will be invited to sit where we like. The main food here is steak, both from Tenderloin, Sirloin, Rib Eye, local T Bone, New Zealand, US and Wagyu. Definitely not my fav place to eat. The potato wedges were inconsistent, some were pretty oily & dark while the other ones were just perfectly fried. I asked for my potato wedges to be exchanged, they thankfully didnt say no. They refried another one but the oil was I think was just already dark and not good.

The salmon steak had a lot of bones, which was quite annoying. Overall anything that was fried was super oily.

The only thing that was good was their vegetable mix. But then again, if you messed up a dish as simple as veggie mix, might as well not open up a restaurant.

I walked into the franchise, loving the frigid and green atmosphere throughout the establishment the service was also fine. Leading me to expect nothing less than a decent steak. However I was served with a chewy, red “well done” steak. This was an utter disappointment as I have dined in at this restaurant before and back then the food actually tasted good. I am surprised how much the overall quality of the food here has plummeted in the span of a mere month.
