Summary: Absolutely fantastic. In a country where quality meat can sometimes be hard to find, this place is an oais of bbq-ed glory with ribs strait out of the opening credits for the Flinstones. The soup is ridiculously tasty as well.
Quality: Insanely good. You can order the grilled (bakar) or soup (sop) version. Both are good, but I highly recommend the grilled one because it absorbs the smoky flavor from the charcoal grill (get the peanut sauce on the side). That said the soup is amazing, so I also highly recommend getting an ordered of the grilled ribs and a couple side orders of the soup, so you can have the best of both worlds.
Value: By Indonesian standards, it's not super cheap- about IDR 70k/pp if I remember correctly. That said, it's still a great value, considering the food is fantastic and the portions are quite large.
Ambiance/service: The folks working there are really nice. It's cool to eat there as well, so you can witness the cooking process in all it's meaty glory.
Tip: The grilled ribs are the superior choice, however the restaurant tends to drown them in peanut sauce, covering up their amazing flavor. Ask for the peanut sauce on the side instead, so you can use as much (or as little) as you want. I actually usually don't use any, as the meat is amazingly...
Read moreKonro Bakar 8,5/10 for that price, I hope we got more ribs at least 3 but idk maybe it's the cause of this place in Kelapa Gading (mostly the price would be more expensive in this area). The peanut sauce is 99% the same as the Sate sauce but less sweet. The soup uses kluwek and it's refreshing and not heavy at all.
Es Palubutung 8,5/10 Sweet from the coco pandan/banana milk, a hint of coconut in porridge a bit salty, and sweet from the banana complement the dish. The difference between es pisang ijo is the green pandan batter around the banana.
Ambiance/Atmosphere: 5/10 Way too hot and makes us sweaty all the time even in the nighttime. The fan isn't helping at all, suggesting more fans or making better air circulation.
Service 10/10 fast AF
Overall satisfied but still a bit hungry tho. need some snacks. Oh yeah, the price on the menu does not include tax so please...
