They offer franchised Sundanese style dishes with many options for sides (fried and grilled), selections of chili sauces, and vegetables. They implement an unorthodox ordering system. You have to order first at the front, where you can pick the sides on the counter. You also need to confirm the amount of and the way they serve the rice: for the table in a basket (bakul), or per servings in the form of rice balls. Ordering the drinks is recommended to be done at the counter, as well. That way, you'll get the drinks earlier. If you order drinks from your table, you need to complete the payment first at the counter, and they'll need more time to prepare them.

After completing the payment, they'll give you a number to bring to your table. That number will be the signal for the servers to bring your orders. After securing your table, you can proceed to the chili sauce and vegetable (lalap) station in front of the cashier. There, you can choose the chili sauce and the veggies to your liking.

Waktu itu anak saya dan temannya Makan di ampera lenteng agung. Biasanya dia makannya yang di dekat cikini. tapi lagi iseng makan di daerah jagakarsa. Anak saya pesan ayam goreng, burung goreng, sate usus, daging empal, sate paru goreng, cah kangkung, dan bakwan udang. • burung goreng Rasanya enak. Bumbu kuningnya terasa. Kematangan burung pas karena ga digoreng kering. Rasa burung mirip daging ayam tp lebih kecil. • Sate usus Ukuran lbh besar daripada yang di dekat rumah. Rasanya enak. Bumbu kuning terasa. Sate agak padat n agak keras. Sepertinya bukan karena digoreng kering. • daging empal Dari jauh terlihat seperti daging empal yg keras. Ternyata dagingnya empuk. Rasanya manis gurih, seperti yang saya biasa buat. • sate paru goreng Sate dengan 4 buah paru. Potongan paru besar. Tekstur padat dan agak kenyal. Paru tidak digoreng kering sehingga kekenyalannya masih terasa. secara Rasa enak. Bumbu kuningnya terasa. • cah kangkung Isinya ada kangkung, potongan bakso, dan potongan sosis. Tumisan lebih berkuah dibanding tempat lain. Tampilannya bikin rasa kelihatan lebih ringan walau secara rasa 11 12 dengan cah kangkung mang kabayan. Potongan bakso dan sosis kurang masuk menurut saya. seperti kasih makan ke anak kecil. • bakwan udang Udang 4 biji digoreng pakai tepung mendoan. Menurut saya ini salah konsep. Harusnya udang mendoan. Tepung mendoannya garing dan kenyal. Secara rasa enak, terutama udangnya. Udang diungkep biar terasa bumbunya. walau agak keasinan tapi enak dimakan pakai nasi.

Quite surprised I haven't gone to this restaurant before. Like other Amperas, we have to choose our side dishes before they heat it up. We ordered fried chicken, beef and chicken innards, and also rice. They provide free hot tea (legit Sundanese restaurant!). It taste just how I imagined it to be, comforting just like home.
