Sushi Marru Cempaka — Restaurant in Jambi

The quality is honestly on the lower side and the biggest downside would be that they didn't use Japanese rice. The sushi is mushy and has no flavour so the flavour has to come from lots of toppings (mayo, floss etc).

The California roll was very disappointing, very bland, the rice was sort of looks like ketupat inside. There was no flavour at all and it was clear that it was poorly made.

The ramen also didn't taste good. It didn't even taste like anything. The broth didn't have that umami flavour and honestly they tasted like instant noodles. The noodles were clearly not fresh and they were mushy as well.

The service itself - it was slow. It took a while to get the tea topped up and the food was also slow.

Overall, not a very good place. The sushi might be affordable but not...

This will be my first and last time eating at sushi marru. The service was really bad eventho there was plenty of staffs, even the boss or the manager attitude was not friendly at all, sucks. Is a restaurant suppose to be like that? never welcoming your guest and say thank you to your customers after they paid the bills and leave? oh and the foods, to be honest it was gross. The worst Japanese foods i have ever tried. The sauce was really sweet even after I put so much chilli flakes on it. The service is nice, they greet us when entering and leaving the restaurant. The sushi is tasty and also the beverages. The price of their food are affordable.
