Festum — Restaurant in Java

Hi Festum! We just went there last night (Aug-15, 2025).

We went there for a quick hangout. This place closes order at 22.30 and closing in at 23.00.

We ordered a Cappuccino, Latte, and Butter beer (hell yeah, my favorite beverage).

Butter beer tastes good (for 35k), this place 2nd in my heart right before the one at another café, in another city (and also costs almost 3 times than Festum's).

Cappuccino tastes good, a solid 4.5/5 for us. Not too 'foamy', almost perfect balance between coffee, milk, and the foam.

Latte, in the other hand, tasted watery. Not milky, also not foamy, but watery.

We also ordered a Pepperoni Pizza. Because we asked one of your waitress (she was an indeed, kind and extremely polite person), between Pepperoni and the other (number 25, i think), and she said Pepperoni is better.

When the pizza arrives, it smells fantastic, really2 good. But, when i take one piece, it looks burnt on the crust. I tasted it, and yes it was burnt (pretty bad tho). We were planning to give our review regarding the burnt pizza when we pay, we were not complaining about it (because it is still an affordable meal).

Not long after (around 15 minutes or so), our kind waitress came back and GIVE A WHOLE NEW BATCH OF PIZZA. She said that they were terribly sorry for the burnt one and basically told us that this is on the house.

It tastes so much better, although there are still burnt spots and that tastes a little burnt, your pizza has a lot of potential. Lowering the temperature and cooking it slowly might prevent this burnt-thing from happening. Remember, your pizza is good, and also affordable. I might say that this even tastes a lot better than "Pizza Marzano" that you can find in Malls, and a lot cheaper too.

Moving to ambience, you really take (i assume) EU-styling pretty good, i like your terrace with that little fountain in the middle. Also, your live music is not too loud (we sat just next to the stage) and we didn't have to yell at each other to chat.

Staff's service is also top-notch. All of your staffs are extremely kind and polite to us.

Definitely will make my place-to-eat in Cirebon for the next couple of months.

Also also, if you only get beverages, it only costs under 50k IDR per person...

Where do I even begin with? One of the BEST, meticulously executed café in Cirebon! This is my first time visiting the city and I would never expect to find a café this good, hidden behind the good ol' Burger King.

Food? Scrumptious. Delectable. I literally (and figuratively) ATE and left no crumbs. Pizza's crust is thin, crisp, and spongy at the edge. They pulled an ace card when they pair their honey soy chicken wings with lime wedge AND mayo (juicy, sweet, and tangy. DUH I'm drooling just from the thought of it). Skillet cookies? COME ON! A classic that never goes wrong. Soft, ooey-gooey warm cookies paired with vanilla ice cream.

Ambiance is immaculate (to the point of me thinking "Oh it would be nice to have a home like this").

OVERALL:...

the services are quite bad for a large group, like 4 waiters are asking how many people we have and where we want to sit as every single waiter asks.

also, some menus weren't written, and we had to re-order, with that button, like been a few times clicking that red button and definitely there's no waiter showed up.

also, when we asked for the bill, we clicked that red bell for a few times and waited almost 10-20 minutes and no waiter showed up, the resto wasn't crowded. but the service is duh. i really had to come up to the waiter for asking the bill, terrible.

the food is really good, ordered pizza too, and quite good enough, the beverages are great too. the places are Instagramable, you can photograph every single corner...
