Wanna Grill — Restaurant in Kecamatan Abang

I am so grateful we’ve found this place on maps!!! Truly an incredible experience. The food, the view, the people, everything was just perfect. It’s very close to the tourist attractions of the Lempuyang Temple and the Tirta Gangga Water Temple, so it was the perfect meal after a day of exploring. Let's start with the place, which needs no comment just by looking at the photos. At sunset it is even more beautiful because you can enjoy your meal looking at the beautiful and extensive rice fields, with the addition of the majestic Mount Augung in the background. The waiters were very attentive throughout the service, a very dear family who were willing to make us feel at home. And the food???? Simply the best we had in all Indonesia!!! We ordered the fried noodles with chicken satay and it was very well prepared, an explosion of flavors and textures perfectly balanced, as well as a peanut sauce and a homemade chili sauce made by them!! Anyway, it was a really good experience and I strongly recommend you end your day having a delicious meal...

A few months ago, we came here and ordered some vegetarian-friendly dishes. I was surprised when they served us more than what we ordered. The service was amazing, all the staff were super friendly, and the ambience was just lovely.

What really touched me the most was, at the time, they only accepted cash, and we only had 50k on us. I didn’t expect them to say, “It’s okay,” when we didn’t have enough. I started digging through my bag for every little pocket, hoping to find more money. I think I found about 10k in coins, but it still wasn’t enough. Even then, they refused to take it. Of course, I insisted on leaving the coins anyway 😂🥹

Amazing little gem hidden between some rice fields, with a stunning authentic view. You gotta keep an eye out for the roadsigns, because the path to enter is either between two buildings, or at the end of the village and around the buildings, along the rice paddies.

The two guys working there definetly made us feel comfortable with our little baby daughter. We were lucky to arrive and stay there the entire stay alone. So humbling.

We got refreshments for free as a compliment, and great service. We enjoyed the bbq ribs with fries, and double up for both on the watermelon juice! Give us more!

We are already planing to come back tomorrow.
