Sub-par quality and taste of food, less than decent service delivered. Throughout my many visits towards Siloam, eating in this restaurant has been my least favourite option.
The food is not that badโI usually order the hainan rice set with the chopped chicken and braised bean curd with mushroom (2 of my most recommended items on the menu). The chopped fried chicken comes out in a good portion, usually with a pretty good selection of sauces (whichever you pick: Thai, Mala, or Lemon), they all taste decent. The braised bean curd is soft, with mushroom sauce and seaweed, it's scrumptious ๐ Stay away from the Singaporean sauce prawns ๐โ ๏ธ The breading gets soggy and questionable in the pool of tangy, fruity, red sauce they're claiming to be Singaporean ๐ The spicy Szechuan wontons ๐ฅ tasted meh. Literally, if you dump chilli oil to a plate of dumplingsโvoilร โจ๏ธ The laksa ๐ also tasted meh with a sweet flavour profile and oily soup base. The shrimp ๐ค in the laksa were surprisingly juicy and plumpy, though. I made sure to finish the eggs and shrimp at least. Moving onto the lollipop chicken ๐ It tasted okay, but the ordinary taste and small portion size do not justify the price tag ๐Chicken congee is also just okay, not bad but not outstanding. As far as food quality and taste this restaurant has to offer, maybe a 3,5 out of 5. Definitely just passing grade.
The experience that irks me the most here is the consistent quality of service that I received, which was NOT pleasant, btw. The understaffing has gone too far for way too long. During my regular (sparse, mind you) visits, I've come to this restaurant during both peak lunch hours and as quiet as it gets. Any time I try to call up the servers, they avoid eye contact?! ๐คฏ๐คฃ When they DO make eye contact, they either run away ๐โโ๏ธ๐จ or pretend that just never happened ๐ถโ๐ซ๏ธ No matter who I'm with, the negligence stays the same (at least this restaurant doesn't discriminate which customers to neglect, I guess ๐คทโโ๏ธ) It's so ridiculous that it's laughable ๐ And while I'd be happy to visit other restaurants in the hospital, I only visit this one when all the others are fully occupied with no seats ๐
Solve the understaffing issues and fix the Singaporean prawns! This restaurant has a lot of potential, but management needs to step up their game for the potential...

Food. Although the name is mandarin chicken rice, they also sell soto and some other Indonesian dish. This time we ordered the hainan chicken rice. You can choose to have the chicken roasted or boiled. Option for rice are hainan rice, fried hainan rice ball, or fried rice with egg. We tried their plain hainan rice, which to me personally really delicious. Rice were so fragrant. For the chicken we chose the roasted one. Which is quite crunchy outside, but still juicy inside. The set dish comes with a soup.
Place. Generally clean. Tables were clean as well.
Service. Really like their services. Staff was nice and engage. Also very attentive to us. Serving time was good.
Price. Slightly higher than my...
ย ย ย Read moreIf you visit Siloam hospital bin karawaci this restaurant will be on the lobby of the first building. The food was what you would expect from this kind of chain restaurants and don't get me wrong, it's definitely good and worth the money. I especially like their Hainan chicken rice and barley tea. The only downside I think they have when I visited them is the leak from the AC that could get you to slip and fall if you are...
