We had a special dinner here with my family on Sunday night, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointment. The meat tasted like the grill pan itself. We ordered it medium-well, but it was served medium-rare. While the drinks were good, the service was very poor. A male cashier in a black shirt came over, and when we asked about the difference between Australian and non-Australian meat, he casually replied, "Just the fat." When we tried to confirm if our order had been noted correctly, he interrupted before we could finish our sentence and pointed to our parents, saying, "They first, then you." The service was so bad that it ruined the atmosphere for us.
My father, who never commented about the services but turns out he said, "The service isn’t very good, is it?" However, there was one person, who seemed to be the manager, wearing a green shirt. He was very kind and welcoming, which...

We ordered their local tenderloin Steak, medium well. But what came out can't really be considered a steak, it's more like empal or rendang. Super tough, and the cut is with the grain. I've never experienced this before in other steak places especially holycow.
The steak itself doesn't look like any tenderloin. It's more similar to a rump or flank steak which is very much cheaper.
The manager and server do not seemed to care for a bit. We've complained that the steak is too well done and very tough, but their reply is only "nothing we can do". In the end the steak can't be eaten.
Update: The Marketing manager from Holycow HQ had contacted us regarding the issue, and they have explained the situation to us. The Holycow HQ team is very responsive and profesional in...
Read moreWe only ordered one sirloin steak just to figure how bad it is from the review. So, maybe this review isnt quite fair.. However, it is really that bad, i must say. The steak came out so quick, no smokey flavor at all, no buttery smell, portion is small, spinach is overcooked, and 1/3 of the sirloin which is the fat cannot be cut and chewed - indicating whoever cooks this doesnt know even the basics on how to properly grill a steak. I personally suspect this is microwaved. Overall this is just like homemade / warung steak, with a much higher price of course. This is a completely different quality with Chef Afit's, i do not recommend eating steak from this place, you can defly get better ones at steak21 with the same price.. No, please go and find and get to Chef...
