Awang-Awang Sky Lounge — Restaurant in Kota Batu

Five stars for the 360 degree view! The night view was splendid.

I read other reviews expressing bad experiences and some were from the time the resto was just established. However, on 9 April 2022, we went there for iftar (breaking the fast) dinner. We came around 5 pm and alhamdulillah it was not so crowded yet. We ordered the grilled ribs, BBQ chicken rice bowl, grilled bananas and chicken skins. They were all reasonably presented (good plating), compared to a few years back. Taste wise, we can give an 8 of 10 score. The service was quick enough. The foods and drinks were ready in time for breaking the fast. The price was reasonable for a resto with beautiful view.

We didn’t have to make a reservation, like the times this resto was viral.

The location is along the main road of Batu, but the sign is not too visible. It is located on the 8th floor of The Batu Hotel & Villas. Resto parking is at the back of the Batu Hotel, but not all spaces were paved.

They need to provide another elevator. The small elevator is used for hotel guests, resto guests and the staff/waiters/waitresses to bring the food up to the 8th floor from the kitchen somewhere on lower level.

Very nice view, food taste is above average. Parking is a bit of a problem if you bring a car during the weekend. Service is actually fast but to order is very slow, because you have to line up in front of the cashier to place the order, and sometimes people in front of you just learn the menu in front of the cashier. Once order is placed, food served quite fast. We had an incident where one of our oder was taking too long, after waiting for 10 minutes we asked, and they said that our order is cooked downstairs.
