June 12-13, 2021 (checked out around 1pm or so) Room was okay, obviously everything is still new. Hot water is lukewarm if you take a shower around the same time as everyone else and the hotel is full. Breakfast is okay, not a lot of choices and the taste is meh. In my room (505) the wifi did not reach properly and the signal keeps cutting out. If you like mountain views (I do), the view is quite nice and enjoyable... if they let you enjoy it.
So I checked out of the room, and got hungry. The restaurant/cafe doesn't have anything i want so I ordered delivery food to have lunch at the hotel while enjoying the view one last time. I was sitting at one of the provided table/chair by the window next to the restaurant (but not at the restaurant).
I was kicked out of the table because I brought food from outside of the hotel. So I asked to see the manager to get that policy clarified while I went outside to eat my food (not allowed to sit inside apparently). I've never been kicked out of the hotel facility for eating there until now.
The staff members (there was one particular guy and eventually others join in) and security and the head of security ended up surrounding me. I did not raise my voice or got angry at all, and I was recording our conversation because I felt unsafe.
The head of security and one of the most focal staff member ended up getting angry and yelled at me. The "head of security" showed me his badge which was just a piece of printed paper with his name written by hand in marker! I asked for his business card and he became defensive and demanded I produced my state issued ID card! He never did show me his business card, perhaps the hotel hires THUGS as heads of security? I wonder what that says about the rest of the hotel.
I kept insisting to talk to the manager because I want to hear it from the highest authority at the hotel that it really is the policy of the hotel that I cannot eat my food that I bought outside of the hotel in the hotel premises (except in my room). Which means I can't enjoy my lunch while enjoying the view, which is the reason I stayed at the hotel. But all of the staff, security people, and the "head of security" kept refusing to call the manager, they ended up yelling at me and were very threatening. Remember, I'm alone, by myself, have never raised my voice throughout the whole confrontation.
When the manager finally came out, I just asked if it's the policy that I can't eat my food, where I should eat my food. He said that for me, there is a special place where I belong and where I can eat. He had one of the security people escort me down to the parking basement and had me eat at the drivers' waiting lounge. Thank you Mr. HOTEL MANAGER for your hospitability. I wonder how I would be treated by the staff and Mr. HOTEL MANAGER if I was a white guy.
It had no AC, everyone was smoking, the temperature was hot (not even a fan), no tables to eat at, no view.
Fine, I finished my food quickly since I was hungry and I just wanted to get done and out of there. When I finished, I brought the plates and silverware back up to the front desk. I waited there for 15+ minutes for anyone who were standing around doing nothing to acknowledge me. But nothing... no one would even give me eye contact. What I needed was someone to get my bags that I stored when I checked out about an hour before.
When I was able to finally get someone's attention, I asked if I can get my bags please. Instead of helping me to bring the bags to me, they only pointed at the general direction where they were keeping the bags. I couldn't see my bags, and was asking where my bags were. All the staff people and security people would do was just point in some general location. I had to walk a little bit and find it myself.
when my car arrived, none of the staff helped me with the bags into the car.
DEFINITELY DO...

I recently stayed at Luwansa Hotel in Manado, choosing their expensive suite room in anticipation of a premium experience. Unfortunately, the stay was deeply disappointing, primarily due to the abysmal service.
Service Quality: The service at this hotel was shockingly poor. Despite booking their top-tier room, the staff showed little interest in assisting me. Simple requests, such as extra towels and room maintenance, were either ignored or took an unreasonable amount of time to be fulfilled. For a hotel that markets itself as luxurious, this lack of basic attentiveness is unacceptable. It felt like I was inconveniencing the staff by simply asking for what was promised as part of the experience.
Facilities: The suite and hotel facilities were subpar for the price. The Wi-Fi was practically non-existent, which was incredibly frustrating as I needed to stay connected for work. The advertised pool and gym facilities were poorly maintained, making them unusable. For the price of the suite, I expected a world-class experience, but it was anything but.
Food and Dining: The dining options were underwhelming. The breakfast buffet lacked variety and creativity, with many items tasting stale. For a hotel charging premium rates, the food quality felt more like a budget hotelβs offering.
Value for Money: Paying for a suite should come with a level of comfort, quality, and attention that reflects the price. Instead, I felt overcharged for an experience that was neither luxurious nor satisfying. There are many hotels in Manado that offer better service and facilities for far less money.
My stay at Luwansa Hotel was a complete letdown, especially considering the suiteβs price point. I rarely write negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience to warn others. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously, as the hotel has the potential to be much betterβbut only if they prioritize service and guest...

The parking space is Ok (maybe because we stayed there not during the busy period). ||The room is quite spacious, and clean (a bit of a small spot on the bed sheets when we arrived, but you will not even notice)., Equipped with amenities and toiletries. |The view from our room is good, we can see a Church next to the Balinese Temple from your room which I think reflects the tolerance within the neighbour. However, although we cannot even hear any noise coming from the corridors (as it is carpeted), we can still hear noises coming from outside your window, like a motorbike, dogs barking, even at night you can hear people talking (our room is located on the 3rd floor - or maybe its because I am quite sensitive with noises), which I think is quite high since the lobby is above the parking area. And the elevators, one of them is also being used as a service elevator since it has 2 openings, but it's clean. ||Breakfast is good, with a variety of pastries, local and international foods, juices, coffee and tea, infused water, just to name a few. ||We didn't try other facilities like the roof top bar though, and the pool (it's not big, but clean), maybe on our next stay.||Overall, our experience...
